Ah, all 4x4s have ABLS standard, at least according to Nissan's site. And, yeah, about that differential comment, slip of the tongue....hehe, get it?

HA, one more reason I couldn't of been burning rubber when my rear end went LOL. I TOLD THEM I WASN'T. farkin tards I swear. I suppose I could've found this "mod" and unplugged the thing or something. SO, you have to have the car running when you unplug it? Don't newer cars/trucks not start unless in park? and you have to put it in gear or neutral to do this? not that I want to do that since I'm voiding my warranty apparently before doing anything like this idiot dealership I swear. Can't wait to argue that fact LOL.

How do you tell which ones do have it? I know mine does, it will barely spin a wheel even with VDC switched off.
I dissconnected the switch at the brake pedal....here comes the smoke!

Thumbs up

Did this mod Friday in about 30 min.

Cut my wires at the lower brake pedal switch. My wire looked Red w/Brn, it may have been Red w/Grn, but it was hard to tell under there.

I mounted my toggle switch under the LH dash behind the hood latch handle. There is a good flat piece of plastic behind there that is out-of-site, but easy to reach.

I noticed that if I left the switch in the burnout position and drove around, the "slip" light came on and stayed on until I turned the key off and back on with the toggle switch in the "normal" position. Switching back to normal before driving kept the "slip" light from coming on.

As far as the burnout, I'm going to try to take some video later this week.....smoke-city!

Very cool mod ! I’m going to give it a try but for a different reason than burnouts. I have 4 wheel ALBS on mine which seems to be ok if your moving at a clip (above 5-6mph). It leaves a lot to be desired when trying to get things rolling. My old Trooper has pulled itself from a slippery dead stop with a medium amount of brake pedal and a healthy dose of throttle many times. The power application and the ABS seem to work as a pseudo ALBS but from a much lower speed. I’ve tried this in the Titan but it doesn’t seem to interested in co-operating and if you can’t get it moving the real ALBS can’t work.

LOL No that mod is called a LSD mod or Diff lock mod. Or you welcome to open your diff and weld the spider gears together as well.

And to give credit where it is due...Mossy Chris is the one who "elightened" us Titan owners to this mod, and Tom and Slurppie took it to the next level, if you will.

For the life of me I don't see any green in this wire. It looks red/black. I think this is the one but can you tell from the pic I'll post?

If you look at the pic I've attached (thanks scr38), you'll see diagrams for both switches. The one on the left is for the lower brake switch. It shows a R/Y and a R/G. The R/G, which usually means red w/ green tracer, is the one you want. From your pic, I can see the R/Y, but can't make out the other one. I haven't looked at these myself, as I cut the R/W wire at the ecm, plus I have a column shifter, so I have 4 wires on that switch. Shouldn't matter, as the R/G wire should be common on either type of shifter.

The upper switch does have a R/B (red w/ black tracer), are you for sure looking at the lower switch?

The black plug is the one I am looking at. It is the one closer to the floor. I'm pretty sure it's that wire but I sure don't see any green in that stripe.

The wire at the switch is red/green. It runs to the BCM. Between the BCM and the switch there is a red/white wire connected to the red/green wire. This red/white wire runs to the ECU. It is better to put the switch in the red/white wire. If you install the switch in the red/green wire near the brake switch it will also disable the brake lights when turned off. This is why you get a brake warning light.
It is easier to find the red/white wire in the harness that plugs into the ECU, under the hood. With the switch in that wire you won't disable the brake lights.
Attached is a drawing of the harness plug where the red/white wire is located. It is pin 101, in red on the drawing.
