Bolt-on Supercharger Kit

Has anyone,

started to offer a complete bolt-on centrifugal blower kit yet?

Preferably a complete kit with the revised PCM programme included.

Looking for a mild 5-6psi Vortech set-up or similar.

I think the only blower available is Stillen.

Re: Bolt-on Supercharger Kit

Actually....

I think there's been two installed so far. One had some issues, the other didn't.

But yes, at this point, it's all that's available as far as FI goes.

I thought one was blowing coolant and the other was shredding belts?

Re: Bolt-on Supercharger Kit

I think his issue was/is his radiator cap.

The engine is creating more pressure, and the radiator caps are suspect already-so those two together may be the issue.

Mine leaked for absolutely no reason, blew coolant all over my engine.

Re: Bolt-on Supercharger Kit

Stillen has sold quite a few kits, mainly to dealers and shops for project trucks. One kit we sold had the blet alignment issue, but it's the only one so far according to Stillen, and feedback from others. As for bolt on kits, the stillen is the only one as of now, although I do expect Vortech and a few other companies to possibly come out with a mass-market kit next year.
The Stillen is still an excellent kit though.

Sad, all that money spent with terrible help. Lucky you wasn't on the other side of the world, you'll probally never see help. Long distance phone calls are aren't cheap either.

Re: Bolt-on Supercharger Kit

They have a kit installed at Mossy Nissan in Oceanside, and it is sitting on their showroom floor. Black King Cab sittin on 20's. I overheard some salesmen talking on how they blew a g35 away. I don't know if they had any issues on their kit. Oh the superchared stickers look nice on the truck, they have some for the doors and also one for under the hood by the latch.

Re: Bolt-on Supercharger Kit

Oh they have a performance package for like $9000-$9600 that includes blower, Banks exhaust, CAI, Rims and tires. I think they were asking $7200 or a bit more for the blower installed with a warranty I think.

Nismo will have there soon. It is made by vortech. I have seen the truck in person when my friend Mike Nissan engineer was working/testing doing whatever it is he does on it. It is a very nice setup and very very quick. Definitely no turbo though.

I know it's probably still early, but any word on cost?

Also, any dyno numbers you can throw at us...?
