If we can get 10 or more interested, I will be happy to work out a great price for all the members.
Thanks,

hmm, so that's only about $200 more than a banks system shipped Not so sure spending an extra 2 bones is worth it, when one could pretty much get an intake too for that extra $$$

I'd just like to point out that that's a bit of an apples to oranges comparison. The banks uses only 409 stainless steel in all its piping (the tips and the muff are both T304, which is the high quality ss). So you are getting more value from the Volant in terms of better quality materials as a system constructed of all T304 SS.
That said, the JBA SS version is all T304 from what I've read (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) and I think David has it for $400 in the group buy, which is a sick deal for an all T304 system - it actually makes me question if it IS all T304.
Here's a great chart compliments of Borla:
I bet the Volant isn't as loud as the banks either (maybe less drone?) - that's gotta be worth something to you, also.
I have the B&B on order (also an all T304 system like the Borla and Volant). You're not just paying more for the sake of paying more - there is value there. The Banks just isn't a fair comparison. Just my 2.

PRG "Mini Lift"
From my personal experience, I had a custom dual exhaust made out of aluminized pipes with a 409 SS X-pipe. After 2 months of use, the 409 SS X-pipe started to discolor and rust while the aluminized pipe looked brand new.
I went for a T-304 SS on my second set of dual exhaust. I've had it for almost a year and the shine is still there. No evidence of rust.
IMHO, 409 SS in an exhaust set up is not as good as it's marketing promotion.
I ordered the Volant exhaust after I got back from SEMA from the same place as MetTitan05. It was a lower price than the B&B group price on CT and the group buy was taking too long to develop. It arrived and was installed in 5 days - sounds great. I don't know how to get a sound clip to the computer, and I don't know anyone who has another aftermarket exhaust to compare it to, but it sounds good to me. As for drone, I haven't heard it yet, but then I am a little tone deaf. I now have the Volant intake w/scoop, exhaust and TBS...and love it!
Volant Intake System, Volant Exhaust, and an Airaid Spacer.
TT Member Package Price price $ 932.00 Shipped.
Any other questions, please feel free and let me know.
Thanks,
David
Sounds like a good deal, I am interested.

I use my Canon Powershot G6 to record video and sound then I plug it in to the computer and it loads. Now go to YouTube a video hosting site and upload it there to get a url for it. Now it's ready for everyone to see.

i'm not an expert or anything... but I'll bet the dissimilar metals in your first setup were the main problem with that corrosion.

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!!! Tell Vegas what he's won Johnny.................
I would say that normally you are correct, but Sammy has two different metals in his custom set up and does not have any problems. Again the important thing in that statement was "I think."

well that really depends on how you look at it:..Banks, borla,Volant,B&B etc are all stainless steel and ALL have lifetime warranties on them..This includes RUST through on all of them as well and they would replace it for no cost should they rust out.Granted, 304SS is technically a "Better" grade in terms of logevity against rust, but if they all have a lifetime warranty then does it really matter?...Also, You showed the graph of the Borla 304 material outlasting the 409 in terms of "shelf" life for rust,etc...But, you forgot to mention (as does Borla) that 309 stainless steel gets "BRITTLE" ALOT faster than 409 stainless steel when it is heat cycled over and over and guess what begins to happen when it gets brittle?..it deteriorates and begins to crack!.So, in essence it is a fair comparioson when you look at ALL the variables with regard to the steel used.304SS is NOT necessarilly the best option for exhaust kits, headers etc. when it is constantly exposed to heating and cooling...Oh, and 304ss is also not much more expensive in terms of cost per foot than 409 when purchased in the quantities exhaust companies get them in..I love the "smoke and mirrors" Borla and some of the other companies use to discredit the supposed "inferior" material used by other manufacturers against their stainless steel, when they really don't tell the whole story either do they?
So, Bottom line here: Stainless steel exhuast companies put a lifetime warranty on their kits regardless if it is 304 or 409 grade. The price difference between the two at the steel mills does not justify the extra cost Borla and others charge consumers for the product, but consumers view it as a "perceived" better product, when both grades of steel have their benefits and pitfalls for exhaust applications...All comes down to marketing ploys against the competition...Now I'm tired..must rest now

What you're saying is true about the warrenties, but I would rather get the "better" one and not have to call someone to send me another muffler or piece of pipe if I can help it. Do you agree?

IN a sense yes I agree, but I can't think of how many times I have called Borla's customer service to get a replacement for a cracked piece of pipe, split muffler or the like. Not trying to single them out by any means, but using this more as an example. So, when push comes to shove is it really a "better" one?..you can argue that all day long

Whoopity doooo...yea a lifetime warranty is great, but I live in the NE where it snows 3 months of the year and the salt kills exhausts...the last thing I want to do is replace exhausts every year. Give me the good stuff and the warranty...plus you all forgot to mention the B&B exhaust...good quality for similar price.
