Magnaflow True Dual Exhaust Installed
I finally had a custom exhaust installed by Eddie at Xtreme Exhaust here in Amarillo today. He let me take these pics to show off his work and my truck. My hat is off to Eddie, he did a great job.
The first pic is the finished result. All I can say is that I am more than pleased. I used two Magnaflow universals (aluminized) with a Magnaflow X-pipe (stainless steel) and two Magnaflow tips (stainless steel). All the piping is aluminized steel 16 gauge throughout. The sound is good enough for me. What I wanted was something not too loud, but not too soft. It seems to be louder than stock just a hair while in idle. On the highway it sounds just a hair louder than stock at 70 mph. Droning is not noticable at all (for me) but I do notice a slight rumble at about 1700 rpm but not bad at all. It sounds good to me, sort of a meaner sound to it. Tell me what you think. I love the looks and the sound. I'll try and download some sound later. Next, an intake mod... Enjoy!

Good choice of system: the X-pipe balances the exhaust pulses and the mufflers do the "muffling". Now that's what I call a true dual exhaust and I bet it's less expensive than the after-market set-up!!!

now thats nice work man!!!--the shop guys have some serious welding skills,
I have dual in dual out magnaflow on mine, but I think I like your setup a bit better  I would have opted for larger (3.5"-4") SS rolled tips though firing out the back like that |

Thanks Smoke, I considered the bigger ones but I was worried about them being too lound. I guess I'm too old. lol The sound is awsome to me. I'll try to get some sound clips for you guys a bit later.
