im looking for a caddy like cushy ride.
I like to float over the bumps if I may.
If I put these on, will the truck become more stiff?
Im just about ready to order.
Yes, more stiff. For a softer ride... I believe you might like the deavers...not sure if they come stock height.

Deavers are leaf springs...replace what you have. For a great ride...replace your rear leafs with deavers and your rear shocks with bilsteins...and you'll really love it. Will cost a lot more than $20 bucks though... As far as more info:

Would this type of setup be benificial for towing. I own a 04 Armada with a new rear end at 10,000 miles. I also own a 05 Titan that I now use to tow my camper with instead of my Armada.
Ramon, our Armadas have coil springs and an independent rear suspension. You probably also have the air bag suspension levelling system if you have Big Tow. This set-up will not work with our spring system.
If towing capacity is the issue, I'm not sure this type of setup would help with the Titan. Maybe. It's not axle wrap at issue there, but rather "squat." I've not studied the diagrams and drawings, but it might help somewhat. "Helper" springs for towing purposes usually go on the back half of a leaf spring setup.
A weight distribution hitch would probably do you more good -- if you are not using one and you are towing heavy, start with that, because you really do need one.

I was a bit concerned about the health of our rear differential since I started using the Titan at the track. In my research, it was definitive that "wheel hop" and "axle wrap" are contributory factors to rear differential failure so, I had been brainstorming an inexpensive insurance against axle wrap and wheel hop. I've read about "JetTech's $22 solution" and went a few notches beyond that without breaking my bank account.
I'm installing my heavy duty hellwig traction springs today... And I just want to make sure this is right....
Does anyone have pics of the red helper spring towards the front of the truck? All the pics I've seen just show the spring torwards the axle, and not how it looks towards the front of the leaf.
It seems that the front piece of the spring is getting real close to the clamp towards the front of the factory leafs, is the ubolt supposed to go in front of this clamp, towards the front of the truck, or behind the clamp towards the rear of the truck... I can't really get the rear piece of the spring any closer to the axle, as its almost touching the factory ubolt mounts. attached are some pics:
How is this solution working out for everyone? I'm thinking of placing an order. I can feel some pretty bad wrap now that I've opened up the exhaust and intake!

Seems to me that having one behind the axle on one side and one in front on the other side would give that axle some twisting action, I am really still not sure how they were mounted myself.

I have been running with the Hellwig HD traction springs for almost two years now, and they are still performing perfectly. I never added any other springs to the rear part of the leaf, only the set of Hellwigs on the front part of the leaf. After all this time, the Hellwigs continue to contol the axle wrap without any noise or maintenance adjustments.

Thank you so much for that info man - I just dumped $100 on these this afternoon. Free shipping too!
