Re: HEADERS 1.75" RUNNERS TO 3" Collector NOW TESTING AND NO CODES

I just saw that Stillen headers are shipping, so I called them to check it out.

The runners are 1.625" into a 2.5" collector and NO test pipe. Thay have a

black box sim that needs to be wired in.

I'm glad I bought mine from Chris

A true dual 3" with X-pipe and duel mufflers set for install on Friday, I can

not wait! Then I will run the h$ll out of it and see if a code shows up after

my mod to the pipes.

Hey Thrust this is great news. So it sounds like we need to have Chris sell coated tubes only. I sense a group buy in near future.

Re: HEADERS 1.75" RUNNERS TO 3" Collector NOW TESTING AND NO CODES

It may not be the coating, it may be the other mod I did

I have to finish testing after Friday. Right now, I'm running stock y pipe,

muffler and tail pipe.

Headers + true 3" dual and x-pipe and two mufflers!!!!! AWESOME!!!
This set up would outflow any system presently available for the Titan. It would flow like two straight pipes without muffler!!! LOL. Just like you, I'm a firm believer in minimum backpressure!!!
Now, let me be the first to request pics and sound bytes!!
BTW, what "special mod" eliminated the "1273" code caused by the header in Mossy_Chris' set-up?

They're headers, really don't have anything to do with what type exhaust. The "test pipe" mentioned earlier replaces the factory forward exhaust pipes, and line up where the oem flanges out put.

Re: HEADERS 1.75" RUNNERS TO 3" Collector NOW TESTING AND NO CODES

Ok part of the exhaust is in. They run out of good 3” pipe without any dents (bad shipping). This week we will finish it after my tip’s with a variable butterfly comes in, what is variable butterfly you may ask?

http://www.nology.com/trexdetail.html

http://www.drewmarine.com/products/s...otgunexfm.html

“Tips improve fuel economy up to 8.3% for more power and better performance! Patented self-adjusting internal control valve responds to RPM load and temperature to equalize pressure and regulate exhaust flow. During high exhaust flow, the internal valve opens to let engine gasses escape freely. At lower RPM, the internal valve closes to regulate exhaust flow and improve engine performance. The result is increased horsepower and torque, improved fuel economy and less harmful emissions? without having to modify original engine specifications. Must be welded to exhaust pipe. Verified/CARB #D-22. Test proven to improve gas mileage and reduce emissions! Independent tests by 2 laboratories certified by the Federal EPA show that the Turbolator® improves fuel economy up to 8.3%, reduces hydrocarbons by 14% and reduces carbon monoxide by 12%. Applications: All Makes All Models 1-3/4ID; 7L Tip Angle-cut “

I don’t know if they works. I will see soon enough. If a similar system has been used for years, very successfully, on Yamaha's top sport bikes, Ferrari's F50 super car, BMW's high performance 328 and on Drew Marine's high performance off-shore boats I give them a chance.

Whats a runner? It's called a primary tube. A runner is in an intake manifold.

Re: HEADERS 1.75" RUNNERS TO 3" Collector NOW TESTING AND NO CODES

Thank you for taking the time out from your busy day. You are 100 % right it is not a runner, it is a primary tube what a fool am I, what was I thinking to use such a word. Thank God for your wisdom, your input cleared it up for everyone, since no one knew what I was talking about. BTW how much did Autozone charge you to reset your ECU?
