Re: Tweaked performance module

I just showed the tech at work this site and was told you could do the same with a resistor in the ecu. I have no idea how.

I know in a GSXR (sport bike) they have a built in timing retarder in the ECU and when wiring a resistor into it, it advances the timing so that it fires more accurately. Maybe the same thing here????

Re: Tweaked performance module

They sell similar resistors on Ebay for $1. It fools the computer into increasing the fuel flow. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Re: Tweaked performance module

Well, let's assume for a moment that this is simply a resistor kit...what are the pros and cons of such a mod. Are there gains to be had? What harm to the engine is possible?

Re: Tweaked performance module

Pros and cons are: All cons, no pros. This topic has been beat to death elsewhere. Before we spend a lot of time going over it again may I politely suggest you try the search function and then if you have any questions, we'll drag it all back out again.

Sometimes it's good to re-review things......... Changes do happen over time.
