Question Volant Gen 3 Instructions?

I just received my Volant Gen 3 intake and there are no instructions in the box, just a schematic. Anyone have theirs (if there are any?) and can fax or scan and email to me?

Thanks Ryan

Go to the link above, helped me out alot. just replace the "*" with clubtita n.org

the volant 3 didn't come with self-tapping screws or padding for bottom of airbox as listed on the parts sheet, make sure u have 2 self-tapping screws for the sensor. Version 3 and they still can't get it right

The version 3 doesn't need self tapping screws. The MAF slot now has metal inserts for the screws to go in to. Padding came with mine. Sure you have a version 3?

Thanks for the link. I also contacted Hyperperformance and they are shipping out whatever I need to complete this. Quick responses and excellent customer service makes this a great vendor.

Re: Volant Gen 3 Instructions?

Up until mid-November every Titan intake we received from Volant was opened by us to make sure they were the gen3 version. This was caused by Volant "believing" everything they were shipping was the new version. Because of the concern for gen2 vs gen3 in the Titan community, we chose to open every kit.

As for the missing instructions and opened hardware, I can only guess what may have happened. With Ryan's (RadTitan) intake, I informed him his kit was a "customer return" but appeared to be complete. He agreed to receive it and when it was missing the hardware we had the missing hardware shipped the next day.

As for any others, we'll work to resolve any missing hardware or instructions, or gladly ship a recall tag for anyone not satisfied with their products. We guarantee every product we sell, especially Volant, who have stood behind us in warranty and the integrity of every one of their systems we have sold.

Re: Volant Gen 3 Instructions?

Update. I just talked to Volant and the gen3 first shipped with sensor mounts that used self tapping screws, then switched to brass inserts (gen3.1?), then back to self tapping screws (gen3.2?). All new intakes should now ship with the self tapping screws. Could the bags have been opened to remove/exchange hardware at the factory - wasn't sure.

My understanding is if you have an aluminum lid, you have a gen3. The gen3 lid will not fit the gen2 box. Therefore, it would appear if you have the Volant aluminum lid, you have the gen3, regardless of whether the sensor attaches with self tapping or threaded fasteners.

I hope this helps.

hyperperformance is doing a good job explaining the problem and addressing it. thanks Tim

I'm just confused why they let all these different versions out.

that sure doesnt make sense that they
would go "back" to using self tapping screws?? as the metal screw holes help to seal the MAF far better than trying to dig into that rather hard plastic--sure you spoke to Joe about that??

just seems odd to go backwards like that?

and fyi there are two version of the aluminum lid, some were prototypes that even a few members had reviewed a few months back, the newest one (well what I was told) have the metal inserts--so they told you that has changed again?? I dont know man

Id have Joe post here (since you are a dealer and all) and have him clear up all the mixups--

and the offer stands if you need the directions I can scan them and post them if that will help some people out--odd that they were missing from the box??

Thanks to all who have responded. Smoke if you can scan your instructions and email or post I would appreciate it. Also I checked the tube on mine and it has the threaded inserts. So any chance the original MAF screws would work? I'd hate to tear into this and then have to put the stocker back on till my screws arrive.
