newbie here with an exhaust question

I have been reading for the past month or two about different exhausts that ou all have. I have had the Gibson swept side on my past two Dodge trucks and I like how it sounded but some people here say that it is quiet on the Titans so now I am worried about buying it. Some also say that the 70 series Flowmaster is also quiet. So I am wondering if this setup will sound nice and throaty without the raspyness...replace the stock muffler with a 50 series delta flow and keep the stock Y pipe to prevent removing too much back pressure and losing torque. Any help would be appreciated since I am still rather new to the Titans.

Thanks All

Re: newbie here with an exhaust question

the 70 series is queit if you just replace the muffler, if you still want 1, I got 1 for sale that is used for about 1 week

The gibson system is nice, but a few replaced the muffler with Borla cause they liked the sound better

here is my borla muffler

http://media.putfile.com/borla-sound-byte

not bad, minor, minor drone at 1600-1700 rpm...and is nice and quiet while cruising over 60mph

Re: newbie here with an exhaust question

The banks is loud and sounds really good just too much drone for my taste. I am thinking of either replacing the stock tip with a Zommers cannon tip, or going with something different from the muffler back. I guess it all depends on what you like. This engine will make plenty of noise with the right intake exhaust combo.

I would recomend the Zoomers Tip. It does help alot. I added it to my Banks install and the sound is excellent now.

It hurts to know we not only make the other guy sound good but look good doing it.

Banks price $465.00

Zoomers Cannon Tip $130.00

Total 595.00

Zoomers Catback price $599.00

$4.00 difference, I don't want to hear anymore that Zoomers is too expensive...Do it right the first time.

Your only partially right I paid $450 +$130 ~ delivered! Shipping is what around $50 or so? However if you would have offered the $599 price when I called you I would have purchased ~ the $699 + shipping scared me off. However, I am satisfied with the Banks/Zoomers combo. Maybe just offer a competive price to begin with. Just a suggestion!

Re: newbie here with an exhaust question

people like banks, B&B, and Borla because those are all stainless steel setups for that money. when people hear $600 but aluminized, they think it's not worth it.

Aperformance, I bet if you did madrel T304 stainless and even up'd your price to make up for the cost...I bet you'd get some higher sales. There's lots of titan owners in the snow areas that hate aluminized.

That's a thought... Maybe offer both ways would be a good Idea...
