What Performance Mods Are Available For The Titan??
I dont drive a Titan, but I am just curious as to what mods are available to you guys. I know it took a while before parts were available for the hemi, and even now, some of them are pointless until we can get a good tune. Basically, I know there are a few universal mods you guys could do, but I want to see what you have available. Intakes, headers, programmer/tune, supercharger, turbocharger, etc...

Does anyone on the site has all 3 of those mods...Intake, headers, exhaust?? Does anyone make a 4" intake for you guys?? Are the headers shorties, mid length, or longtubes?? Have any of you guys installed a cutout instead of just doing a muffler swap??
Re: What Performance Mods Are Available For The Titan??
Intake
Cat-back exhaust
Remove resonators
ProAutoMan blackbox
Headers (longs in testing now)
Weight reduction (probably not suitable if you want a daily driver)
Smaller/lighter wheels/tires (drag radials are +++)
Nitrous-oxide kit (a 50-shot won't hurt much if anything and should have you running high 13s)
Turbo-charger kit
Super-charger kit
Re: What Performance Mods Are Available For The Titan??
Are there any Titan owners that will be willing to try a few mods that haven't been mentioned yet??
-Start off with a BIG 4" intake...If nobody makes one, then try to make it yourself.
-Go with the midlength headers(longtubes are better, but mids will do)
-Put an exhaust cutout before your cat
-Add an e-fan to help get that motor spinning
-obviously some weight reduction
-sticky tires
The first 3 mods I listed dropped .8 off my 1/8 mile times...I am a bit lighter, so I would expect you guys to drop about .7 off your 1/8th ET. Then get that programmer installed when it comes out, and you will easily drop another .2 off your 1/8th...Thats 1 second off your 1/8th mile time!!!
Re: What Performance Mods Are Available For The Titan??
A good programmer is in the works from Hypertech.. I emailed them last week and this is what he said..
Chris
We have a Titan here we have used for testing and we do plan on
having a tuning product available eventually. No idea as to when at this
time but I'll keep you posted. I'll enter a request so you'll be
notified when it becomes available. Thanks

I hope they have one for you guys quickly...It should make a nice difference for your trucks!!
And come on now...Couldn't you have put a chevy or ford emblem in your sig instead?? j/k
Re: What Performance Mods Are Available For The Titan??
HEHE I dont hate domestic vehicles, But you have to understand that us Titan owners have to be on our toes with our "main" competition :P none of the other trucks except maybe a ford lightning would hold a candle to us stock :P There is a huge hemi fan where I work always talking crap on my titan he is probably the main reason i've started modifying my truck, cause I've already told him i want to race him at the track.. all he has done is just flowmaster duals.. I've already got the Aem Bruteforce intake and still decideing on banks or borla cat-back exhaust.. and will get the JBa headers.. are they the ones testing out the longer version?? If so i might wait to get the longer ones if thier is a big diffrence of tq and hp..

If I'm not mistaken, Stillen is working on the long tubes.

Would you be willing to try that cutout instead of getting the Borla or Banks cat back?? The cutout has proven to be one of the best N/A mods available for my truck, and the Titan is not much different. I think you will be much happier with a cutout than you will with a catback...Cutout = less exhaust resistance, which in return = more power!! And it will give you better mileage and louder deeper sound than the catback will. And it's cheaper!! Its a win win situation.

Best 60' is a 2.01 because I ran those times on the skinny stock 245/70/17's. And it was very humid that night, so my 1/8 ET and mph were .1 slower, and 2mphless than I normally run. My best guess says that I would run a 13.7 @ 100mph with decent weather.
Here's the slip...I made a typo on the mph though...Its supposed to be 98.87 instead of 98.89.
Re: What Performance Mods Are Available For The Titan??
I have a cut-out on my Z28 and it is worth about .1 at the track (about 10hp more than through my B&B catback). Good cheap mod, though I dont dare uncap it around town...
