I just finished installing the AEM Brute Force Intake and Banks Monster Exhaust. Took me about 2 hours to install both. Man the Titan sounds really tough. I love the sound and yes there is a noticable gain in Torque and HP. There is a drone with the Banks, but nothing the stereo can't fix. I love the setup.

I have had the Banks for awhile now. I've been thinking of adding an intake. Now I know you really don't gain any MPG with either but I have read and heard that you loose a certain % of low end torque. Is this true and is it noticeable?

NO low end lost here with this combo. I had the AEM on first and did'nt notice much gain or lost, after the Banks went on I can tell the difference. I could never spin my wheel before but I can now.

Sorry Colorado- I don't mean to steal this thread.
As I said before, I have the Banks and still don't mind the drone. Now I also heard that you can sometimes hear the intake. How load is it? What does it sound like. I'm afraid any more noises and the wifey and kids might start to complain. You can only turn the stereo up so much before my tinnitus kick in...

I have the same setup. I had the AEM for a couple of months before the Banks and notice little "set-o-pants" increase in power or MPG. Installed Banks and "seat-opants" meter registered significantly more pulling power. Intake noise from AEM (without Banks) was very noticeable. At about 2500 rpm some type of resonation started that actually hurt my wife's ears. It was like riding in a car with the sunroof open without having the little spoiler to deflect the air over the roof. I think it still makes that sound, but to a lesser extent and the Banks inrease in sound (and drone) drown it out.
I do beieve that the sum of the two mods performance gains are much greater than each individually.
I can't get a sound clip. I don't have a camera that can record, or a Video Recorder. I will try and see if there is a differance in MPG. I also reset my ECU before I even started the truck, but I can honestly say that for me there is a slight loss of Torque right off the line. Before if I was at a dead stop and puched it my tires would breake lose right away, and now they don't breake lose right away, but they do in about a second or two or so, so yes there is (at least for me) a slight hesitation right off the line, but that's it and then it really kicks in harder than it did stock. As far as the intake, I can't guarentee you that you will hear the intake over the exhaust because I did mine at the same time, but I really don't hear the intake at all, just the exhaust. Hope I got to answer all the questions.

All i know is I hope all of you all are right about the combination of the two working great. Because just the exhaust alone on mine has hurt it noticeably. But you guys seem to have installed the intake first.

What do you mean "hurt noticeably?" I just have the Banks right now and I haven't noticed anything whether it's, MPG or torque?
My MPG did go down but that was after the lift and larger tires.

From my experiance in the past, doing a cat-back without doing an intake does hurt it a little, because you are not changing the inflow of the air, but just reducing the back pressure and exhaust flow but not adding any air so yes it kind of throws of the circulation. Usually the rule of thumb is to add air into the motor, then allow it to come out more. This has always been my experiance.
