Fighting Titan,
Welcome to TT, glad you share your result. I think most peoples are thrown off by Jet Performance from previous experience (not with the Titan maybe). I'm starting to read more about people with the Jet chip and they all have good results. Please do post if you dyno your Titan. One guy who did the chip reported 14 rwhp gain.

Well, be very careful buying the Black Box from ProAutoMan. I bought 2 and a supposedly NEW AFE Intake last September. Sent it all back. My truck would not shift gears with the black box, therefore my buddy did not want one installed in his,the intake was used before it was shipped, neither had any instructions or paperwork. I was promised a refund LAST DECEMBER, nothing yet????? I have called about 20 times, finally Priscilla stopped answering my calls. Just a word of warning guys,
D
Hey just saw this...
Why would your truck not shift with the black box? It does nothing to your tranny or TCU? It only adjust A/F ratios. Maybe you wired it incorrectly? I have had the Black Box since September and my titan is still pulling hard as hell. Also there are also a bunch of other here with the black box and none of them have had any complaints. I think you may have wired it incorrectly. That is odd.
SoBe: Just for reference, I am not new to this forum, I have been here since 2004, just crashed a pc and lost all usernames and passwords, hence the new appearance. I wired it with Ron on the phone, hard to wire it incorrectly with the designer giving instructions. It would not allow the engine to rev over 2500 rpm, hence, would not allow the tranny to shift at hard throttle. And I do have a tad of mechanical ability, I have built racing outboard powerheads for about 12 years now. The key issue is the lack of customer support. I have just mailed the paperwork to the Lee County Courts, I figure 7+ months is long enough to wait. I owned a business for 7 years and would not even think of shipping customers USED parts, aka the AFE intake off of Priscillas truck, that is not good business practice. If this is common business practice for them, thanks but no thanks, I'll do business with honest folks.

That is very odd. I know a lot of people are happy with the black box. I am not sure what happend in your case. I definately do not want to be in the middle of a "he said she said" match. Maybe Ron can chime in and give details but he probably wouldn't if you are seeking litigation.
You can send your computer to JET and have it reprogrammed. Its run about $400.00. Read about in Four Wheeler Magazine, they said it made a titan chirp 35' tires that wouldnt do it before.
If your going to have your ECU reprogrammed...send it to Technosqure. They offer much more then Jet and have a whole lot of Nissan experience!!

I just went to the dealer(talked to a friend there) and they told me they offer a unichip programmer for it and his cost on it is about $650. But he didn't have any details on it yet. I will update as soon as I get the info.

By the end of the 2006 model year there should be over 260,000 Nissan Titans on the road. These numbers will continue to grow each year and even more so if Nissan includes heavy duty versions of the Titan.
I realize Nissans sales are still in the minority, but if your the only person in a market you may sell more units than if you chased after a larger sales group with 4-5 competitors selling similar items.
