banks installed w/ zoomers cannon tip

well guys i have the banks exhaust over 5 months now, i thought about selling it because of the drone, well i stopped over at zoomers, since they are local from me, the guys were awesome, i had them install the cannon tip and man let me tell you the difference...its has cut the drone to a very tolerable sound in the cab, man im a happy camper.

for those who are looking to buy a cat back exhaust system, let me tell if i had the chance to do it over again, i would buy the zoomers!!

thanks to the guys at zoomers.....

Does it still scream when you hammer it, though? I don't like the crusing drone, but love the full-throttle song.

Re: banks installed w/ zoomers cannon tip

your full throttle will not change much if any.....the cruising drone is what it will help with dramatically....

Re: banks installed w/ zoomers cannon tip

If you step on it, it will still "ROAR" it's just the drone at 1500 to 2000 rpm that's very annoying after awhile. The Zoomers tip make it more tolerable (slight drone still there but not annoying).

I pretty much agree with you. I have the same setup and really like it. Ironically the Banks + Zoomers is less $$ than the Zoomers alone and the Banks is SS.

Re: banks installed w/ zoomers cannon tip

So the slight drone at 1500-2000 is comparable to the stock drone. I'm going to try this to get rid of the drone of my Flowmaster.

Don't know what the Flowmaster drone is like ... But the Banks drone w/o will drive you nuts...With the Zoomer tip there is a slight amount around 1650rpm but not bad ...

Re: banks installed w/ zoomers cannon tip

The drone on the Flowmaster is pretty bad. It might be because of a straight pipe swap for the secondary cat. I'm going to install resos and the tips. I just hope the drone becomes a lot more tolerable. On another note, whenever I go up some hills, I just shift into third gear to get the revs above 2000 rpms (this gets rid of the horrible drone). I don't cruise or drive in third, just up hills when it's under load.

Re: banks installed w/ zoomers cannon tip

One of our customers on another forum made this picture on photo shop showing The Road To Zoomers. I guess what he's trying to say is that while modding and trying different things are fun... do it once and do it right because the road will eventually lead to Zoomers.
