Articulation with 4" PRG lift and Toyo M/T's

Hey guys,
I just got my 33" Toyo Open Country M/T's on yesterday. I took a few pics of the articulation of the suspension with them and the PRG 4" lift.

Awesome pics! I'm tempted to go w/ 18" wheels just so I can get the Open Country in a 33".

Which coilovers do you have?

Donohoe Racing coilovers in the front with Total chaos upper a-arms. Bilsteins in the back. I am still waiting for my Deavers so I can install my traction bars at the same time.

How to you like the ride? I am planning on the same setup as you have. I currently have the BFG 315/70-17

Hey g56gear ... It looks like my rig will be the same... I have the same parts on order (PRG 4" ~DR TC Bilstein Deaver) ... I am really considering the same tires ...except maybe with different rims ... I know the install is not complete but did you add a rear block ~ or not ~ I am concerned that my rear might be too low? Really like your setup .. makes me really wish the parts were here!

Overall the truck seems more planted to the ground. It is stiffer but not choppy. The Bilsteins made a big difference in the rear.

The rear is stock right now with just the tires and the Bilsteins. I did not add the block. I did test fit the same tire in a 35" and the fit and clearance were fine except they did rub on the very bottom of the front plastic liner. I looked at heating it up and re-forming it it but there is the welded body seam joint under there necessitating the bulge. I did not want to start cutting body parts....especially structural ones. With the 33's they clear on a full turn by 1/4". I haven't tried to put my front mud flaps back on yet.

g356, try driving it without the sway-bar end links attached. The ride is much better on uneven terrain. The DRE use a stiff enough coil that sway is not really an issue. I run mine sans swaybar, and its great. Its a free thing to try, and you can always go right back if you dont like the different feeling.

I have the offroad ones but I was waiting for my backordered Deavers to arrive so I could install everything in the back at once while it was apart.

Re: Articulation with 4" PRG lift and Toyo M/T's

First of all, great looking truck. But, I'm a bit confused. I thought that Greg's 4" lift was DR+a special spacer to attain that extra inch (IIRC the DRs top out at 3"), and of course the TC arms and blocks or leafs in the rear. But, when looking at your truck, it still appears as though you have a slight rake, or perhaps evenly leveled. If it were 4" up front with stock in the rear, I would expect the rear to be lower. What caught my attention was that your truck appears to have a very similar stance to mine, which has spacers in the front and 1" blocks in the rear. I also have 33x12" tires, and the wheel well gap looks identical. Do you have the DR's cranked down low? Regardless, it's still a sweet looking ride, I'm just wondering about the 4 inches.
