What's a good(cheap) exhaust system?

I'm looking for something relatively inexpensive that is loud. I'm not too concerned with drone but the less the better. I'm mainly looking at Flowmaster with either a 40 series or 80 series muffler. Any other suggestions out there?

Cheapest way to get nasty loud is probably a cherry bomb and straight pipes. Or put a glasspack in place of your current muffler. Ferd forums were full of ideas like this for inexpensive exhaust volume control.

True dual into glasspacks turned down right behind pack. Probably could get it done for under 200.

Glasspack is the answer. I've done it and it is loud!!! This link: "Purple Hornies" shows pics of my set-up and a link to an A/V file you can watch and listen to (A/V file just downloads slow -about 20 secs- even on DSL). I had to replace it with my current setup because the drone got on my nerves.

I'm pretty set on just getting a new exhaust system. When I said cheap I just meant that I'd like to keep it under 400-500. So, naturally, I'm not looking at Borla or anything expensive like that. A friend of mine has glasspacks and while I like them, thats not really what I'm looking at.

For 400 - 500...get the Banks!!!! It kicks glasspacks *** and you can install it yourself.

Going the cheap route is barely cheaper because of labor costs...

What could be less expensive than the stock exhaust?
I think it sounds great and isn't intrusive while I drive.

I replaced the oem with a flowmaster 70 52571, single in single out, just swapped mufflers. Clamped in the flo 70 and I love the results. Probably about 50% louder than the stock on acceleration, and the drone is actually LESS at highway speeds, 60-70, than the stock one.
