Jet Chip

http://www.jetchip.com/products.asp?...odel=2440#2440 According to the web site this chip will fit our trucks. Does anyone know if they are any good? BTW they cost 399 bucks.

Re: Jet Chip

Do some research on this forum and you'll see what some people have to say. It's not one of the favorite chips out there.

jet chips, uni-chips and the like should be burned and buried 6ft down, wait for a hypertech or get the black box that is actually "proven" to work

Re: Jet Chip

You never know when R&D will get there act together. Maybe we should tell them thay have a really bad rep in the titan community & see if they will let someone on the talk try it out at a discount or fee and post a review. Up side is if it is good they could sell a lot of chips. Down side if it's not good they'll take a beatin! Just a thought.

Could not agree more. If you need a paper weight then
buy a Jet Chip. Worthless!!

Re: Jet Chip

I got a Jet Chip today. I know that all the posts have had negative comments. I got a discount price at the Truckfest on Sunday in San Diego. I only paid $260.
I want to report that I am very satisfied with the overall performance. The responce from the throtle is much improved. I want to get a dyno run, so I can compare before and after. I had a dyno run at Stillen on Aril 22.
To all who said; Don't but Jet Chip, I think you're wrong!

Is it a chip itself or they flashed your ECU? I though you had to send your ECU to them for flashing. Someone on CT got the Jet chip but say he had to put his truck on a dno to tune it for best performance.

Re: Jet Chip

I just visited their website, all it really talks about is the generic improvements. All tuner companys should list the features their chip/ECU actually does. Most Titan guys want modified/removel of the Torque Management, speed limiter modified, ability to re-cal speedo for tire size, etc, etc.
Maybe we should publish a list of what possible customers want in a tuner mod....or am I a little behind and this has been covered before

Re: Jet Chip

I talked to Jess at Jet Chip this morning. He told me that The Chip they installed in my ECU advanced my timing 4 degrees and increased A/F ratio. I asked about speed limiter and speedometer recalibration and He said they don't plan to offer them.
I think most companys hear the cry babies crying about price, so they don't want to risk their investment money on new mods that might not sell.

SOCAL, did you have to send your ECU to them or they send you a chip to plug in the ECU? Thanks.

Yes you have remove your ECU and send it them. When you order, they send you a shipping package and a form that you fill out, telling them what performance mods you have. Then the day they recieve your ECU, if it's before Noon Pacific Time, then they send it back to you, by DHL overnight . I work near their shop, so I took my ECU to them, driving my work vehicle. I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up 2 hours later.

Re: Jet Chip

I stopped at Stillen today and made an appointment for June 6th for a dyno run, to compare before and after Jet Chip. My before best HP was 274 at the wheels.
