I'm considering a Borla or Banks exhaust with a Violant intake system

Does anyone have any dyno numbers directly related to the borla exhaust? I like the fact that the borla isn't very loud but want the power increase for better towing and MPG. I've seen numbers for the banks exhaust but nothing related to the borla yet.
Looking to make the purchase in the near future, when it warms up here in N.E. Pa.

Has anyone installed one yet? I'm also considering a NISMO air intake but like the sealed violent system better. Has anyone used their air intake scoop yet.
I was curious if there was any issues with water entering the compartment or if it was better to just use the factory air scoop?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry I mean Violant intake system, their gen 3.

you can go back and change that in your orginal post..

I don't recall a dyno with those, you can try searching for the dyno #'s.

Re: I'm considering a Borla or Banks exhaust with a Violent intake system

I think the dyno junkies found the volant banks combo did the best...

I've got the K&N & Banks on my truck and I'm happy. THe borla gives a nice sound but it's $$$$

I think you'll be happy with Volant and Banks....besides there's not much of a hp difference between the different intake and exhausts.

Re: I'm considering a Borla or Banks exhaust with a Violent intake system

if it's in your budget I'd go Borla. the dual exhaust out the back looks great. The only problem is if you tow, the exhaust fumes hit your trailer.

Re: I'm considering a Borla or Banks exhaust with a Violent intake system

I know it is not on your list, but the Flowmaster 70 CAT back has the option of the dual out the back side flare downs that point the tip at the ground. That would be better for towing, if duals are what you are looking for.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the significance of exhaust fumes hitting the trailer? Im considering an exhaust and tow a lot. I tow a boat, if that makes any difference. Thanks.

More noise/reverb from it bouncing off the trailor as it exits. Long story short, it makes it louder. Could effect the hual if it is close enough for long enough. but I doubt it.

Borla all the way. Best looking and sounds good. What more do you want?
