AEM Brute Force Intake

I'm really leaning toward getting this intake because of the dry filter technology. Those of you with the AEM dry filter, how do you like it? How often does it need cleaning? Did it affect your gas mileage?

Question Re: AEM Brute Force Intake

I like the AEM, good low to mid range increase. Im however using it in conjunction with a Banks exhaust.

Re: AEM Brute Force Intake

How often do you clean yours?

Also interested to know if anyone has noticed changes in mileage, good or bad.

Re: AEM Brute Force Intake

I got mine from hopupracing.com for $255 shipped, it was the lowest price I found at that time. I believed a few place is matching that price if not a little lower. As for cleaning it, I've only had it on for about 6K - 7K miles, AEM recomend 50K miles/30 months (25K/15 months for off road). I will probably do it sooner than the 50K miles recomended.

Re: AEM Brute Force Intake

I've been enjoying the heck outta mine. Haven't cleaned it yet. Price should be between $220-250. And if you haven't already, get a new exhaust setup. They work in conjunction. Banks, Magnaflow and Flowmaster are all good. Not sure about others. My Magnaflow is great.
