i had a problem finding the last two bolts on the transfer case. i have a 4x4! Anyone else have this problem? i just left this off till i find out where the damn bolt goes!
I put mine on today. This was actually the easiest one! Look on the drivers side of the transfer case in the back above the transfer case skid plate. You will see the tranfer case fill plug and to your upper left you should see the exhaust ground. one end goes on the same bolt as the exhaust ground and the other on the bracket just to the right of the fill plug. If you have the directions from active tuning you will be able to rient yourself. I hope this was the quesiton you were
asking! http://www.titantalk.com/forums/imag...lies/smile.gif
The money is spend to improve stock grounding. A lot of mods done to cars/trucks are not major changes but they are improvements. This is not a major modification but it is an improvement.
Waste of time...
I look for just about any reason to wrench on my truck(within reason). Wrenching on the truck is kinda fun! This is some easy wrenching...
I've had the kit for quite a while now. It's not an earth shattering change but I think I can tell the difference with shifting and less engine tick noise. Which really wasn't bad to begin with. But it helped.

I would really love to see some controlled test data on these claims. Needless to say that I am skeptical:
Our grounding kits potentially offer one or more of the following benefits to your vehicle:
* Increased Horse Power & Torque Electrical resistance is reduced throughout the vehicle, putting less strain on the engine which translates to more available power to the wheels.
* Awesome Looks Drives teens wild and adds to your stud appeal
* Faster Shifts on Automatics Skin effect in our wires keeps all shift signals in phase, meaning improved signal convergance and reduced overlap of signal between shift points.
* Improved Mileage Wires reduce static charge in the fuel line and effectively raises octane
* Reduced Emissions Our patent pending technology which converts unburned gasses to pure electricity, which is then redirected to the battery for storage.
* Stronger & Faster Starts This is due to the emissions control process providing an abundance of current stored for the high demands from the starter.
* Smoother Idle The short wires anchor the engine so that it cant move around (vibrate) as much
* More Responsive Acceleration Current flows faster through our wires which enhances "drive by wire" designs.
* Reduced Audio Noise Due to the audio grade cable used in our product.
* Improved Electrical Accessory Performance (brighter lights, windows/sunroofs operate faster, better radio reception, etc.) Bright lights need bright colored wires for maximum performance. HID systems require our neon series wires for best performance (coming soon)
Our kit offers these features:
* Heavy 4 Gauge 1666 Strand 99.9% Oxygen Free Copper Audio-Grade Power Wire Superior performance over the 1665 strand products that our competitors sell.
* Wires are all cut to size for each specific vehicle In order to meet the discriminating needs of our customers who want to give their vehicles that "custom" look
* Gold-plated terminals For helping to explain to the wife of the wires value
* Fit to size terminals Drill bits provided to size the terminals to any bolt size
* Terminals are all double crimped to ensure security and prevent theft. Encrypted models are also available
* Wire/terminals are insulated with heat shrink because they are sensitive to the cold and need to be kept warm for maximum performance.
* All necessary hardware for installation is included No need for unnecessary bicycle trips to the hardware store
* Step-by-step installation instructions with pictures are located on our website because it would be too convenient to provide them in the packaging
* Available in four different colors
o Solid Black
o Translucent Silver
o Translucent Blue
o Translucent Red
Custom colors and metalic's can be custom ordered. Please allow three weeks for your check to clear

I made my own cables using some scrap pieces of #6 copper wire, electrical grade connection terminals, some heat shrink tubing I had laying around, and a few stainless steel bolts and nuts that I had in my parts collection (you will need fine thread bolts to fit the various Titan's grounding points used by the Active Tuning mfg.). Took me about 15 minutes to make the 4 cables needed for my 4x4 Titan, and it took me another 30 - 40 minutes to complete the install using the pics supplied on the mfg. web site (I would have been done sooner, but I spent time hunting bolt/nut combinations for some of the grounding points. Unfortunately, I haven't driven my truck since the install, but even if it only helps a small amount, I will consider it worthwhile given how inexpensive it was for me to make and install. If I can see/feel measurable impacts as a result of this "modification", I'll report back.

I'm really temped to get one of these. Even if it doesn't provide a performance difference, seems like it would be worth it for the accessories/transmission to operate better.
installed mine today.......everything seemed to operate smoother and tighter...put a couple of cables to my new Magnaflow catback.......Drone cut in half......two more go on tommorow...............

Huh..that's odd. I don't think grounding your exhaust is going to do anything to the sound or drone?

I snapped a bolt too, dammitt!!! But I was able to improvise and get it done.
I noticed my truck is smoother at idle. I won't say it starts easier, it does that already. I will say it seems like the starter is not working as hard to crank...?? Don't know how to describe it.
And my truck does seem quiter around 1,700 rpms.
