weird shifting after volant CAI install....
hi,
i installed my volant CAI and ran the truck in the driveway for a bit afterwards and when i let off the throttle it makes an odd noise right before the RPMs settle down. also when i am driving around truck runs good, then i stomp on it and the volant growls real loud, the takeoff doesnt seem as instantaneous as before, and my shift points seem to be off. i could be overly critical because im expecting a big difference, but it doesnt feel right. do i need to reset my ECU since i unplugged the MAF during the install? will that fix the really odd shifting? thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me...this site is great.  |

Read this and check some of the links on it under reseting the ECU. That might help.
Check engine light?
