Underdrive pulley system for the Titan

After making several calls.

I spoke with Lee today at Auto Specialties and inquired about an underdrive pulley system for the Titan, He indicated that he has received a few calls regarding the Titan and Armada. So I asked, what would it take to get it into production, Lee indicated that it would take a 100 for him to make it worth while with all the R/D. That is understandable. I ask Lee if I could spread the word to help. I was told if he gets a good response, he will work on it, Please spread the word to email asp@aspracing.com Attn: Lee
Is great to see another company take some interests in us Titan owners.

Thank you all for taking the time to support this effort.

This is from there website:

Auto Specialties underdrive pulley systems increase engine horsepower by reducing the amount of power required to drive external accessories. For example, the alternator, power steering, water pump and air conditioner all rob horsepower from the engine. By replacing factory-sized crank and accessory drive pulleys with a resized pulley, the accessories are slowed, resulting in more horsepower available to drive the rear wheels. Typically, a set of Auto Specialties street pulleys will increase output by 12 to 15 horsepower, resulting in quarter mile time improvements of .2 to .25 seconds. All pulleys are CNC machined from billet steel or aluminum, exceeding factory quality.

You probably don't want to do this if you have a high powered stereo.

Re: Underdrive pulley system for the Titan

Thanks QShip

Wow 190 views and only 1 replies, not good. I hope more emails are being sent. This is not good enough response for a company to take some interest in the Titan.

This is not a commitment to buy, sight unseen with an unconditional price. This is to see if at least the Titan owners would be interested. If we all help each other to show company’s that there is a market in the Titan community we all will benefit with more of a choice in mods.

My thanks go out to all

Tommy

You think I was joking. We have access to a overdrive
pulley to offset the rpm loss to the alternator when
going with a underdrive crank pulley. Their is a group
buy on them over at DT.com. A good CNC machine
shop could make one. Just have to then find the right
belt length.

In all truth the underdrive pulley is usually good for
8 to 12hp on most vehicles. I would still race you
if you got one
