G-Tech Big diff. between Prem. & Reg. Gas

Here is my first real times with my G tech. Beware there could be a stupid new guy factor in these times but I was really courious to see if there was a diff between Premium and Regular gas. IMO I think there is a big diff. Anyone else have this differance with their times??

Same truck with only the gas being the differance.
78 degrees on both days

5700 # 4x4 with 3/4 tank of Premium gas (93)

1st run - 15.18 sec. 1/4 mile
2nd run - 15.34 sec. 1/4 mile
3rd run - 15.22 sec. 1/4 mile

5700 # 4x4 with 3/4 tank of Reg. gas (87)

1st run - 15.69 sec. 1/4 mile
2nd run - 16.03 sec. 1/4 mile
3rd run - 15.72 sec. 1/4 mile

Re: G-Tech Big diff. between Prem. & Reg. Gas

Good times!! Man, you sure got the replacement
GTech fast. I would say that your 0-60 times
were probably in the 6.7,6.8 range for the faster
runs. Good runs though for the air temp. How does
the road look where you did your tests? Did you
go in both directions?

Yea the 1st and 3rd runs were in one direction and the 2nd run was in the other direction. All roads in Florida are only in one condition........FLAT, FLAT, FLAT!!!! But no turns or banks. I went out in boon dock ville and made sure no other cars were around.

Re: G-Tech Big diff. between Prem. & Reg. Gas

What's the HP reading between the two gas. I posted something about premium gas and timing advance of 2 degrees is where I believed the Infinity QX got their 10 extra HP, few people call me a BSer. Just want to see if there's evidence to back me up or maybe I'm really a dumba$$.
Also where did you get the Gtech from?
Thanks

I didnt do any HP or Torque runs because they are a diff. style of running and I didnt really have time to do them but I do plan on doing that. How did you prove your times?? give me a link I would like to read it. I got my Gtech here in town but you can get them on line for cheaper. I just wanted one in my hands and if I had any probs I could drive back to the place and talk in person. Which I did have a prob. with the first one.

Sounds like you have a good place to do runs. Safety has
to be the most important thing. I do mine in the morning
when its still a little dark and very little traffic. Yes, for
HP/TRQ readings the launch technique is totally different.
You also have to enter vehicle weight, set rpms and redline.
I have not bothered with HP/TRQ. Your times will tell you
if your gaining/losing HP. What were you 60ft, 0-60 and
1/8 mile times?
