I'm considering the Borla exhaust and was wondering if it would effect warranty since a one into two cat back exhaust isn't exactly a replacement exhaust.
I saw one on a truck yesterday and I plan on getting one. Mossy performance gave an incredible price after mentioning this board.
It was between the Borla and the banks and the borla isn't loud till you step on it and that's what I'm looking for.
Not to mention the borla doesnt use the Y pipe like the banks, and has the nice dual rear exit. A true "dual" system.
The more I look at all the systems available, the more i like the borla.
Correct me if I am wrong, but to be a true dual system you would need to have two mufflers as well. I too like Borla, but I agree that the location of the left exhaust pipe over the pumkin is

well, just a quick thought here. I checked with a local muffler shop about redoing my stock exhaust. He suggested coming off each CAT with a pipe back to a MagnaFlow muffler, one on each side, then exiting under the rear bumper. That would be a true dual exhaust.
He is wanting to install stainless steel mufflers and pipe for $580.00. Does that sound reasonable to you guys or is it high?

For two mufflers, pipe and install? Sounds damn good to me.

I dont think theres room on the drivers side, thats why everybody runs both pipes down passenger side. And i think its a rip off. i wouldnt pay that much.
Seems like a good price for borla and stainless pipes...
The only warranty issues are:
Your exhaust won't be warranteed by Nissan.
If they do a crappy install and F something up...it aint covered by nissan.
If your engine blows at 10K miles...it aint gonna be the exausts fault and thanks to the Magnuson or somethin warranty act...they gotta prove the exhaust broke your truck.
Go for it brudda

By the way...Banks is loud as Shyte so don't get it if you don't like loud. THe borla is more a refined growl. I love em both.

I was at the dealer on Friday and asked them about an intake or exhaust impacting warranty and basically they said it has to directly cause the problem but it should be a non issue since they haven't had any titan issues regarding this. I then asked for a direct example regarding this where a direct problem would cause the factory to not honor the warranty and they told me to call nissan and gave me the 1-800 number.
I have to go back next Friday for my new bumper. I noticed when changing my oil that the bottom of my chrome bumper had two circular rings on it, from where it looks like a washer was mounted, that are starting to show signs of rusting. I took it to the dealer after calling them about it. I figured it might be an issue since they might thing I would mount lights or something there even though it was at a location where one would never put them. They told me they'd order the new bumper and call when it was in. I got the call yesterday evening that the bumper was there. I wish the had known that when I was there earlier in the day.
Since it was such a nice day yesterday, on the ride home I put the rear power window down part way and when I went to push the button to raise the window up, it pushed in part way into the lower dash area. I figured when I got home I would just reach up and push it back in. Not happening, it's too small of an area and there's no direct way of getting to the switch with a tool without removing part of the dash, so now I have to have them schedule that work on Friday also. What's a pain is that the body shop won't do it so I have to get the repair shop to fit me in.
