Titan and Eco Fuel Systems to save MPG

Titan and Eco Fuel Systems to save MPG

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As posted under General Discussion, a revolutionary product is now being used for the Nissan 5.6 Endurance engine. It is called the Eco Fuel Systems fuel filter. This filter is revolutionary and has hard data to prove it works:

www.ecofuelsystems.com for Questions contact Ben Talamantez

I was a skeptic until I recently ordered one and that was all it took. I increased my overall mpg by 2.5. I was averaging 13.57mpg in my Titan and after the first two tankfuls, the mpg averaged 16.19 mpg!! Thinking this could be a misread, I filled up once again to 3/4 mark and got 339.9 miles.
Divided this by 21 and got 16.19. I could not believe it. Ben also recommended the Eco #3 for our applications. Try one out and see for yourself. They also carry diesel models.
FYI

I too installed one last week, my first tank show gains from 12.5 to 13.4, but remeber in my post I left the gas cap open when I did the install and forgot to close it. I just refilled and will post result after the second tanks.

Re: Titan and Eco Fuel Systems to save MPG

Thanks, Thrust titan. I think the Eco #3 is $290 or so. You could opt to go with an Eco #2 which is smaller and $209.00. E-mail Ben and let me know what he says. Thanks.

Re: Titan and Eco Fuel Systems to save MPG

I just installed mine and it took a grand total of 5 minutes, of which 4.5 minutes was removing the engine cover.
So easy was the installation that I didn't think posting pictures would be necessary.
Will report next week when I put some miles on it.

Please post us some pictures. I think the rest of the Titan Talk members would benefit from this.

Re: Titan and Eco Fuel Systems to save MPG

Cool pic, baseballfanz. How long did it take you to install this? Where did you move the fuel line to so
it was out of the way?

Took me about 5 min. Including removing/installing the engine cover. Make sure you get the right tools as our Titan fuel line have a lip that prevent some tools from fitting in there.
Here's afew more pictures, one shows how what the fuel line look like afterward and the other is the picture of the tools I used. Last picture is of fuel line before installation.

Even this article and testimonials on Eco website didn't persuade me, it was other Titan owners that install this and reported good result that convince me to buy.

Re: Titan and Eco Fuel Systems to save MPG

And why was every test vehicle a high mileage one (well over 100K miles)?
