To install headers

Putting the header and test pipes in is easy getting the EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND THREE WAY CATALYST out is a pain in the a$$

1 Remove the neg battery cable and let the truck sit over night.
2 Put the truck on jack stands and remove the wheels
3 Above the upper control arm there is a black plastic panel on the inner fender protector drill out the rivets and remove panel

Bank one

4 Remove A/F sensor and heated oxygen sensor fig 1 #7, 1 and fig 2 #8, 7
5 Remove front exhaust tube fig 2 #9, 5

6 Get a can of pb catalyst and spray everything then go make a cup of coffee 1 Hour brake

7 Put a floor jack under the engine with a block of wood
8 Do one side at a time until complete
9 Remove engine mount bolts from the engine block (4)
10 Brake loose and remove the exhaust manifold cover bolts fig 1 #6
11 Jack up the floor jack so the cover can be removed
12 Lower floor jack
13 Brake loose and remove the exhaust manifold nuts (pain in the a$$)
14 Jack up the floor jack so the exhaust manifold can be removed
15 Install the header
16 Lower floor jack until the engine mount bolts can be Installed
17 Install the test pipe or front exhaust tube fig 2 #9 or whatever you are going to do
18 Install A/F sensor (1) and heated oxygen sensor (1)
19 install black plastic panel on the inner fender (rivets or nuts and bolts)

Bank two

20 Remove engine mount bolts from the engine block (4)
21 Brake loose and remove the exhaust manifold cover bolts fig 1 #2
22 Jack up the floor jack so the cover can be removed
23 Lower floor jack
24 Brake loose and remove the exhaust manifold nuts (pain in the a$$)
25 Jack up the floor jack so the exhaust manifold can be removed
26 Install the header
27 Lower floor jack until the engine mount bolts can be Installed
28 Install the test pipe or front exhaust tube fig 2 #5 or whatever you are going to do
29 Install A/F sensor (1) and heated oxygen sensor (1)
30 install black plastic panel on the inner fender (rivets or nuts and bolts)
31 Install Simulator if needed (NO CATS)
32 Install the wheels remove jack stands install battery cable your ECU is already reset
