AEM Brute force installed, but some ????

Allrighty.. so everything worked well on the install until I noticed I had to remove the front tire and pull the fender lining down to secure the heat shield. Anyways, I just ended up bolting down the heat shield with the top bolts and got everything really tight, it has a little bit of give, but nothing much. Does anyone highly recommend tightening the heat shield to the fender or?? Also took it for a run.. Runs great, so much more pick-up and it sounds so much better. After driving around for about 30 minutes, the Service Engine Soon light comes on, any ideas? Any suggestions, did I do something wrong perhaps.

Help is appreciated, thanks guys

I pulled the fender, not very hard but not necessary. As for as the SEL try a ecu reset, you can do a search and find it if you don't know how.

So for the SEL just reset and wait.. to see if it comes back on or not? Any common things anyone think it could be, right after installing the intake?

Since it is running good, I doubt there is a problem. I would do the reset and wait. If that doesn't work let us know.

I remember some one saying the O2 sensor was directional. If the reset does not work, you may try turning the O2 sensor around.

Re: AEM Brute force installed, but some ????

I have the AEM and no lights ever.

Probably the plug to the MAF sensor is not seated correctly.

Re: AEM Brute force installed, but some ????

LoL.. one of my couplers was angled wrong and the intake tube was disconnected from the throttle body, so I reinstalled tightened everything down and did the ECU reset, no sel lights yet.. My mid-top feels very strong, bottom end seems to have lost a little bit of its power, is that normal for this intake?

Re: AEM Brute force installed, but some ????

2 degree timing advance to the ecu should correct some of the loss of low end torque, and help with throttle response..
