Header help

I recently bought a set of the ceramic JBA headers for my Titan. Has any one installed these headers before? JBA insists that any "competent mechanically minded person" should be able to install these within 3-6 hours.

I called my local Nissan dealer, and they said to R&R the stock exhaust manifolds would be 8.1 hours, and if they were to do they headers they would be looking closer to 10-10.5 hours, at $90 bucks an hour. I guess my local dealership doesn't have ""competent mechanically minded people" working there!

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Header help

I know of a couple folks that installed them at another titan site.

If I remember correctly the results were far from spectacular. They will make your Titan run a lot richer so you will definitely want a tune job after install.

Folks are having pretty good luck with the Powerflow headers from what I've read.

I'd love to install them but to much of a PITA for me to mess with. I'd rather spend the time installing them on an old muscle car.

Maybe someone else can chime in with more "experienced" info.

Re: Header help

I think they are a serious pain in the a$$ to install. From what I've read anyway. And like he said, not so great gains.

Re: Header help

My long tubes took 5 solid hours to put in....But the JBA's will require cutting and welding on the stock cats

Re: Header help

Sounds like I should try to trade them for a Tru Trac LSD!
