Fram Boost, Round 2

I decided to start a new thread ‘cause the other is getting out of date. So, now for part two - I received a FedEx today with the affidavit that I am supposed to sign if I want to be filmed installing the Boost. This means I made it to the 40 finalists, but I am note sure I am going to proceed. There doesn’t seem to be anything in it for me, other than potentially being in a commercial . I still haven’t seen any numbers for HP or torque at the low RPM’s, which is where I live while pulling my trailer and trying to save fuel. For those of you that have after-market intakes, do they provide any benefit at low RPM (2000 – 3000)? I realize that the main goal is more air at peak HP (or torque), but I am trying to optimize at cursing (60 – 70 mph) while pulling a 6500lb trailer. Thoughts?

Re: Fram Boost, Round 2

I haven't got anything yet reguarding round 2, maybe it's in the mailbox at home.
With gas price on the rise, I'm not so sure I want to drive up to 100 miles to their location.

Re: Fram Boost, Round 2

I had a phone conversation with Conangelo (Fram's ad agency) about being in a commercial. I have no prob being filmed with comments about their product. After all, they are supposed to send me a 260.00 intake. They did ask if I would be willing to drive up to 100 miles to participate at an authorized Fram dealer. I guess they meant Fram dealers in Alaska because there are Fram dealers all throughout Tampa,Fl.

Re: Fram Boost, Round 2

I got a couple of e-mails today. It looks like my intake is ready to ship to me. Did anybody else get them? One has the amounts as .00 and the other totals out to like $276 and says it is paid by EFT funds. I wonder what that means.

Re: Fram Boost, Round 2

Few have already gotten it, I got a notice from UPS cause I was not home yesterday. I also got a phone call today, they are trying to narrow down the 40 to 15 for the filming/commercial.

Re: Fram Boost, Round 2

They are supposed to come by on tues. to film my install. They are not making me drive to a Fram dealer. This should be interesting.
