Fram Boost Installed

Fram Boost is now installed. Took almost exactly 2 hours from turning the truck off to hand cleaner (if you have pulled the fender-liner out before it might be a little less since I had to figure out the clips and snaps). Sounds great, but we will see about performance when I pull the trailer this weekend.

Is the fram tube plastic or metal? Looks identical to the AEM setup I have, hehe wonder how much thier going to get sued by aem for basicilly copying thier work?

Re: Fram Boost Installed

It is metal and I bet they are paying AEM. In the instructions there is one shot of the tube installed and it has been retouched to block-out a label where the "Boost" label is on mine. So I bet they even buy the instructions from them.

Re: Fram Boost Installed

Look good. Just got mine today, definitely 100% AEM, either AEM made it for them or they made it under liscening from AEM. I put it up next to my AEM and everything look exactly alike. No point of me even installing it.

Re: Fram Boost Installed

Does anyone think there is a coincidence in the AEM clone hitting the market at the same time as the Fram Boost. Seems like they share a lot of similar parts.

The Fram Boost has nothing to do with these clones. It is manufactured for Fram by AEM (private label).

I agree that it is the exact same model as the AEM, just with different coloring. But, your statement sounds like it is definitive. Do you know something more? Not being argumentative, just curious.

From the look of the two system, definitely made by AEM. I compared the two side by side and they're the same. High quality stuff for sure looking at the welds and stuffs.

Re: Fram Boost Installed

Why would you have to take out the plastic fender liner when installing?
