Single vs. Dual Exhaust

I recently purchased my Titan and I am looking to upgrade my factory exhaust system but I have few questions that I am hoping someone can answer for me first.

What are the performance differences between a single and dual pipe system? I see that several manufactures offer both.

Which exhaust is better?? Borla, Stillen, Flowmaster, etc. ???? Or perhaps one that I have not considered?

Re: Single vs. Dual Exhaust

Actually, you'll probably get more power from a single, since you won't lose as much backpressure = make more torque. When I bought the Stillen exhaust today, the sales guy asked which I wanted - I said "the one that makes the most torque." He said, "Single side-exit it is!"

Re: Single vs. Dual Exhaust

Its a preference of many choices, I did the Stillen dual exhaust at my dealership and very happy with it.

Re: Single vs. Dual Exhaust

I went with a custom true dual for far less than most bolt on kits

Re: Single vs. Dual Exhaust

a lot depends on the size of pipe you choose. with duals, dont go any bigger on the pipe

I went with 2.5 after the cats (deleted the resos) I would say I lost a little low end but got it back on top.

Re: Single vs. Dual Exhaust

Just split into duals after the muffler, either a dual out or a single out with a y.
