Exhaust Question
I have a 4X4 CC, and I'm looking to replace the rear cats with stright pipes.
I found a local shop that will do both sides for 120.00. My concern is the O2 sensors on the rear cats. The exhaust guy said he could put the sensors in the straight pipes, which would probably work, but he wasn't for sure. Does anyone know if I replace the rear cats with straight pipes, will it throw a CEL? Also, he thought it might improve my gas mileage, ever-so-slightly. Any thoughts, anyone...??

You will be good. The second 02's monitor BEFORE the resos/ cats.
I would recommend using two Dynomax bullets instead of a straight pipe to reduce rasp/ harshness. |
