Lack of B*lls in CC

Allright, I know there's a bit of a weight diff. between a KC and a CC but, My 05 KC seemed a lot more ballsy than my new CC. I had the K&N/Flowmaster combo on the KC, but I have the Volant/Borla combo on the CC, Anyone know what the deal is? Maybe when I heard that flowmaster 40 series scream It felt quicker, I don't know.

Re: Lack of B*lls in CC

Seems like I remember reading that there's only 50 lbs. difference between KC and CC with simlar pkgs, so weight is an issue.

Have you tried the standard things-ECU reset, throttle position stuff?

If so, try riding it hard through first and second a few times, and see if the ECU doesn't adjust to that.

Could just be the combo you have...??

Re: Lack of B*lls in CC

My guess its the combo...with the Borla I've noticed that you loose some on the low end. Kicks back in around 40 mph. We are goona try a Throttle Body Spacer to see if that helps. Good Luck!

Re: Lack of B*lls in CC

Yeah, I'll try giving her he11 for a day or two I guess. I think it's mainly on the freeway at around 65-75mph when I punch it to pass someone, It just seems like the old KC would just take off like a bat out hell when I did this.

Re: Lack of B*lls in CC

No lack of power here with my CC. I have the AEM/Banks combo.
If your looking for more balls than you might want to try this.

Re: Lack of B*lls in CC

It seems many Titans vary in power, some burnout for 30' and some only a chirp. I'm talking about stock and equally equipped Titans.

Re: Lack of B*lls in CC

I notice you're in the Chicago area. Could be they're still selling the winter blend gas, which will decrease performance. (?)

Re: Lack of B*lls in CC

I think it just all depends on the truck. As far as weight goes, if I remeber right it is not much at all, so that won't be it. By for example, my truck was only putting out 252 Rear wheel HP on the dyno with the AEM intake and the Banks Exhaust. I have seen many others on here, that were getting almost 25 more HP than I was with the same setup, so it just depends on your truck. They all vary in HP/TQ from the factory.
