Opinions on Exhaust

A while back a friend of mine replaced his stock muffler with a Hooker AeroChamber. Shortly after he bought a used Banks Exhaust. Now he is trying to decide if he is going to have the complete Banks system installed or if he is going to just use the Banks y-pipe and tail pipe with the AeroChamber. His main issue is he likes the sound of the AeroChamber.

I told him if he likes the sound of the AeroChamber that he should keep it and just use the Banks Pipes and sell the Banks muffler. He asked me to post this to get opinions from others.

Re: Opinions on Exhaust

He should try the Banks first. Who knows, he may fall in love. He would do himself an injustice without trying something he has at his disposal.

At first I thought it was gonna be you(383) asking for advice. i would say SW LT's, to an x, to two Magnaflow 5x11x18's. Sounds badass on those Chebbys.

Re: Opinions on Exhaust

He orginally went with the AeroChamber because it's prob the best flowing muffler for the price. He then spent the money on the used Banks Exhaust because it was a good deal and was cheaper than having a local Exhaust shop duplicate the Banks Y-pipe and tailpipe. He is still in College and works part time as a bank teller. He doesn't have the $700 to spend on the Magnaflow Exhaust System.

I just got off the phone with him and he is going to try the Banks.

Re: Opinions on Exhaust

He could always install it and if he doesn't like the banks muffler just switch in the areo chambler. Not alot of market for just a banks muffler though.

Re: Opinions on Exhaust

Tell your friend that if the Banks muffler is in excellent condition I will buy it off him.
