Before I started modding my truck I made three 1/4 mile passes and my best was 15.63 at 93.7 (Tow Mode on).
Now look at my mods in my sig. Every single mod felt better and better. I was starting to think a low 15 second maybe dipping into the high 14's was possible!!! Well, reality just set in. I just finished 3 more passes and my best was 15.72s at 92.2mph. Talk about a lot of dough for a lot of slow!!!
I tried the ECU reset, I'm even running 93 octane gas (just in case), but this is starting to get under my skin.
Any ideas guys? Don't even think about offering to "take the mods off my hands to make my truck faster". LOL
I just knew the spider grill would take a half second off. LOL
Help!!

ur losing a lot of torque down low because of your true duals, true dual setups are meant for big block v-8's and anything over 400-450hp mayb if you plan to add headers / and cams you will be closer to 340-360hp and would benefit little more from the dual setup.. don't give up just keep driving your truck like you stole it off the lot it'll eventually go into performance mode, everytime i go to the track my first 2 runs are like 15.6 even with all my mods.. but after running it 2-3 times down the track it goes into performance mode (the ecu)then i'll get 15.03's and 15.07's Mine still needs a good aftermarket programmer to get the full benefit of my headers then I should be in the 14's even on my worst days at the track :P

Maybe your "Butt Dyno" has been overly used and abused.....do you loan it out to your buddies?
lol...That's just wrong!!!
Like toomny said, it's (probably) the duals along with needing a good programmer.
I was surpised at the NJ meet when all the stock Titans (or drop-in filter) were dyno'ing just as high, or in some cases, higher, than those with mods.

Were your first passes with stock wheels. If so thats why,if not I dont know what to tell you.
I bet there is almost a 1/2 sec. difference between stockers and 22's because of the huge weight difference.
I lost to a Hemi with 22's by 2 truck lenghts or more. I took them off and ran the race again and won by 1/2 truck length.

If you're running on the 22"s, there's no doubt that's your problem. Also consider weather conditions when you ran last and with these recent runs.

Good point. Was the weather the same for
both the track runs???

Like everyone else it's the 22's. And yes the duals. These trucks love the back pressure but of course not to much. And like the Mr. B said don't over abuse your butt dyno. You might need it in a pinch you know....
also the inertial mass associated with the larger rims is increased like crazy. Its the equivelent to putting a heavier flywheel on. The weight of the rims doesn't help. and the size actually changes the gear ratios of the tranny. Buy sum XE steelies and you'll be faster

Mr. B.
Actually that was Hilarious!!! ROFL
I guess I set myself up for that one.
Anyway, on a more serious note, the weather was about 10 degrees cooler on my base run, which probably would account for some of the difference. I think I'm going to drive it like I stole it to get into the "performance mode" that Toomnymods suggested.
As a last resort I think I'll sell my 22's and buy some 12's I saw on ebay. LOL I really had no idea the extra weight of the wheels would make that much difference.
Thanks guys (well not you Mr. B)
