Want A Chip????

If anyone here knows anything about computer programing I have a Snap-On scanner the newest update was released last week I purchased it plugged in to my Titan and found a few different adjustments. Not permanent though or as capable as a dealer one but my tool runs on Windows XP. Someone with some computer knowledge could really be helpfull. I can adjust only with scanner plugged in. Adjustments given are Timing (really noticeable), Intake Fuel Temp. (really noticeable), fuel injection %, along with many others unfortunately no adj. given for the trans but like I said I can send and receive data thru a windows program.

Does it allow logging? What is the name and version number of the program? Does it use a standard OBDII cable? Not sure what Intake Fuel temp is though.

Re: Want A Chip????

hhhmmmm...that sounds interesting...you should be able to force the engine to change the A/F ratio if you can give it false Air Temp readings from the MAF.

Hell even if it had to stay installed it would be awesome for the peopl,e that go to the track.

I'm surprised it won't hold the timing advance. how much will it allow and hold while attached to the truck?

Auto - take screen shot of the things you can see and also that you can adjust. To do so using the keyboard key "Print Screen" usually top right 1/4 of keyboard. Then paste it into word and upload the image here and or PM me and I'll send you my email address to send the file(s) to.

I'm not quite sure what the comment about the fuel temp (really noticable) means? Does that mean you can see the temperature of the fuel go up and down?

The timing adjustment while plugged in is how much? I assume the ODB2 port is being used during this proceedure?

Re: Want A Chip????

I was assuming when he stated intake fuel temp...he meant the air temp in the intake from the MAF. Not sure....would be interested in seeing more of what he is talking about.

Re: Want A Chip????

oh yeah the fuel temp, i look at different sensor values and the such all day never seen fuel temp either, but if i put the fuel temp to -50 degrees you will notice a huge difference compared to 0 degrees normal operating temp is about 130 to 150 adjustable from -50 to 200 something else strange is my timing is always at -1 when i access it, put at zero and you can actually feel the difference unfortunately they limit timing from -10 to 0
