hmmmm, thats interesting and I may drop the coin to try it out. I know Banks has their top end programer setup the same but the total setup is well over $1K. Too much money IMO.

Re: Has anyone tried a Unichip?

Jerry and Colbalt -

You guys please try it out. But please know this that the map you buy for mods did not do anything for me. You will need to have a custom tune done and that can cost an additional 200-$500...provided that you have a tuner in your area.

I ahve sent them a bunch of data from my truck over these last 6months so perhaps there is somthing new? Their PDA function was on ther website but is now not so????

Please do a before after dyno and be sure to be careful when opening the harness clip at ECU.

Good luck and please report back.

Yes that unit kicks ***!!!! Turbonetics is using the new UniChip stuff on the SPEC-V for tuning works 100% perfect. The old stuff was ****. They got there act together now on the new stuff and it really works..

Man, if the unit w/pda were affordable (to me), I'd be all over that. IF what powerflowusa says above is true, this could be good. Wonder if anyone out there has tried it out?

I emailed them about 3 weeks ago and that new unit is not avaiable for the Titan yet.

Yeah that's what I thought... When I returned mine a year ago they said it was completed...Hmmm must have decided to not move forward so they could sell some more training classes for want to be vendors/tuners.

Re: Has anyone tried a Unichip?

I saw a thread on here not too long ago that someone dyno'd their truck with the Unichip then took it off and they actually saw a decrease in performance with the Unichip. I would wait for someone to come out with a tuner like the Hypertech that programs into the truck's computer port and allows you to make changes to the computer. I think I read that someone heard Edge was working on one. I know thats hear-say times two, but I went and signed up for their beta testing program just in case. When the Hemi first came out in the Ram a few years ago it took Hypertech a while to get a programmer out. Something about it being the first 32 bit processor and having some security measures in place. Thats also hear-say.

That's is the one thing that sucks about UniChip you can't get the tuning software tell you do training to become a vendor Someone please post the software for all And there is no one in SOCAL that is a vendor. Except Turbonetics

No way am I going to take a chance on that till see dyno results on a Titan posted here by one of the board members.

Sorry but a tunner shouldn't be close to that in price

I agree with you, that's pretty steep in price.
