Heartthrob VHS Performance Mufflers

I am interested in the Heartthrob Velocity Series performance muffler for my 06 Titan. They have been featured on Two Guys Garage and Truck Universe, both on the Speed Channel. They appeal to me because they advertise a deep, mellow sound without cab resonance.

Understanding that almost anything can be said in advertising, I am wondering if any folks on this board have tried and/or use the Heartthrob Velocity Series performance muffler, and if so....are the claims true and are you happy with your purchase?

Thanks.

Re: Heartthrob VHS Performance Mufflers

RB....I may screw up my courage and do just that. I already have a welded custom dual system from the stock muffler back....wanted increased flow without the typical cabin drone. However, I may give them a try.

As for configuration....they are available in many styles with varying pipe diameters. Visit www.heartthrobexhaust.com for more information.

Re: Heartthrob VHS Performance Mufflers

never heard of heart throb... an a nother note i am considering cutting the exhaust just before the muffler and putting a 90 degree and a dual tip out before the rear tire.. cheap, easy, just wondering about the sound of no muffler. i had a dakota v8 with straight pipe similar to what i am talking about and it sounded awesome.

Re: Heartthrob VHS Performance Mufflers

I drove a gmc yesterday with a melatone exhaust which I just learned is made by Heartthrob.I was very surprised that it was pretty loud giving it throttle but it had no and I mean no drone at all at any cruiseing speeds it was quieter than stock cruising but alot louder than stock when accelerating so I wonder was this because it was on a 5.3 and what would it sound like on a Titan.I didnt think a exhaust could be this loud and this quiet at the same time.At cruising speeds this exhaust was for sure quieter on the gmc than the zoomers was on my truck.

Re: Heartthrob VHS Performance Mufflers

Man Im telling you I would really like to hear one of these things on a Titan. We get off at work at 5:00 and I think Im going to have to drive it again.I cant believe of all the things on this site people have tried and know one has tried this exhaust.I say again I couldnt believe how quiet it was cruising it was actually too quiet on the gmc so it might be perfect on the Titan. What blew my mind was that it was pretty loud and then to be that quiet at cruise I never would have believed it.
