Spark Plugs

I have been reading about these new Spark Plugs in a few truckin magazines, they are E3 plugs don't know off hand who they are made by but they claim an increase in fuel economy and performance. Just wondering if these or any other spark plugs (Autolite Platinum +4)would be worth purchasing for a minimal increase in mileage or performance.

Re: Spark Plugs

Okay, call me crazy but I'm a firm believer in "plugs are plugs." Now, when it's time to replace, it's worth getting a good brand that will hold up so you only have to do it once.

Changing plugs for performance...I think it's a crock...you're talking about lighting gasoline on fire...it aint rocket science.

Re: Spark Plugs

plugs are not plugs...for example, the Dodge engines only run well on champion plugs. my neighbor put bosch in his durango and it ran like crap, changed back to what the truck came with and it ran fine.

sounds strange, but many mechanics agreed and said to stick with what brand came with the vehicle
