The AEM is great, very nice system. I really like the metal tube. Sounds great when cruising and really rocks at WOT. It does have some space around where the filter passes through the heat shield, which some don't like, but it was dry flow folter that did for me.
I might acctually cover the aluminnum tube from the manifold all the way to that open space with thermal wrap to keep the metal tube cool even in harsh conditions. What do you think? I know the cooler the air...more power. A heated tube doesn't constitue cool air but warm air. If not, I will at least cover that hole with thermal wrap.

I sealed up the hole. Help bring temp down a bit.
On a side note, how hard is it to get to the headers without removing the engine fron the bay? Thinking about wrapping my headers if it's possible to do.

What materials did u use for sealing up the heat shield? That doesn't look like it comes with the kit...rubber tubing and foam....where did u get the foil stuff?
