Re: New AEM Brute Force put in.

Looks great, don't you love that growl up front now. I really like the kit, with my new Banks installed, the truck is more alive than ever.

How was the install, any problems?

Re: New AEM Brute Force put in.

The heat sheild showed itself to be a PITA! Putting the actually intake in was like 3 minutes...the heat sheild and removing the stock air box was gay....thats where I spent most of my time. Its funny, the last bolt holding down the bottom of the stock box.....Nissan's designers did a good job of not letting anyone get to it. But I got so aggrivated that I tried pulling on it and then....pop! It came off without damaging anything.....DAMN!!! All that time waisted!!! As for the growl.....the intake almost spools like a turbo.....the ssssssSHHHHHHHHHH builds up and the induction sound is deep with a hiss that sounds intimidating. My intake has an extra growl to it too! Its awesome! I also on my way home to work wanted to see how I did against the a new black Maxima, clean Nice car with 20's or maybe 22's like me. At the light I lightly gun it to get a gain and showed controlled aggresion passing an old van to get the guy involved in a little spurt.....looked ahead, no traffic and then I heard him revvving. As soon as I see his noise at the corner of my eye, I floor it. WaaaaaaaaHHHHHHHHH! Head to head when I down sifted but when the tranny shifted to the higher gear....pure gainning on the car, I say 2 car lengths after hitting 70, I shut it down. Suprised myself, the guy honked at me a thumbs up and I showed approval with peace V. I was just suprised on how much more my truck is more alive with this prodcut! Thanks for your guyz input on my decision on buying one.......oh yeah, another plus about the package..........lots of foam. Great storage for the old air box, if ever needed.LOL

A lot of people complain about the whistling sound, but I think it sounds bada$$, really adds to the overall experience, and yes, it reminds me of a turbo sometimes too.

Glad you like it!!

Re: New AEM Brute Force put in.

Glad you like the intake.....

So you gave a faster car the jump and gained 2 cars on him??? The carpet was bunched up under his gas pedal. I've owned both cars...............

Either that or the car wasn't broken in. I was in adrenaline mode, its probably a truck length, all I know is I lost him on the corner of my eye and saw him in the side mirror. You know...(Things may be closer than they appear). It was a short spurt to 70 but I know he could out run me on the long run.

Re: New AEM Brute Force put in.

So what made your mind set to the AEM? Was it the chrome? That is what almost made me go with it. Did you reset the ECU?

The numbers - it's a numbers game - check the dynos, HP and TQ numbers and track times of the faster titans and see what they are running.
