Top Reasons to Get a TruTrac

Figured this might help some of yall convince the wife to let you get a TruTrac.

1. Reduced tire wear. Loss of traction due to no REAL limited slip caused one wheel to spin during cornering or reduced-traction environments. This excessive slip causes the tire to prematurely wear, reducing tire life and necessitating future tire rotations and an earlier set of tires ($$$).

2. Increased gas mileage. Less tire slip means more power is being transferred to accelerating the vehicle rather than spinning the tires (heating them up and removing material. See #1 above).

Re: Top Reasons to Get a TruTrac

Funny, although she may just tell me not to give it enough to spin the tires!!

Re: Top Reasons to Get a TruTrac

Well here in the snowbelt it's very obvious why a 4x2 can use a TruTrac.

bmw 325is coupe. heck yes.

2.5 L I6 w/ 190 hp. currently i'm getting 18 mpg city & 27 highway.

once i get it all fixed up and in better running condition, along with some underdrive pulleys, CAI, and a chip, that number should go up.

much better than my titan, which was getting 11 city / 16 highway.

and it's paid for!
