Got my resonators replaced with 2 1/4" pipes

Went to my local muffler shop a few days and got them to replace my resonators. I asked for as big of a pipe as possible because I know some people on here have gotten 3" pipes but he said the biggest he could put on was 2.25".

I was a little disappointed because I wanted bigger pipes but he only charged me 25 dollars for each resonator so it came out to around 54 dollars.

I can't say I've really noticed much of a difference performance-wise however the exhaust does sound different. I get a louder, raspier start-up which I like. When I give it just a decent amount of gas I get a very deep very loud exhaust note with some rasp. I got a couple of hot-rod comparisons which I was fine with. Then went I floor it, it is raspy as hell. It almost sounds as if my engine isn't getting enough air. However it doesn't sound any worse than it did before, just different.

Overall, I will say that for 54 dollars, it was worth just for the bad-*** exhaust notes I'm getting.

do you have the stock exhaust? You may be running too rich now. I think high flow resonators would have been a better solution performance wise.

No, I have a single in/dual out flowmaster 40 series.

I haven't reset my ECU so maybe after a couple hundred more miles I'll see some changes.Who knows.
