Installing the Zoomers's Y-Pipe and have run into a snag. They will not fit together unless I put quite a bit of pressure on the catalytic converters, which I doubt I want to do. Anyone run into this? Maybe I was sent a wrong part? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Well, I just got an extension from AutoZone for now until I get to a shop to get it welded, but even at that, it's still gonna be some strain. If this is common, for the amount these cost, I wonder why they have not extended it by at least an inch, in my case 1 1/2 most likely.
I e-mailed Ron on the 12th and asked if they had fixed that problem. He said he hadnt heard of this issue but will keep an eye out. Just let him know so he can resolve this issue. It is frustrating when you get all finished and you want to hear it bad but cant start it. Hope the extension works.

Hey, if you feel like shooting him another email, let him know mine was the same way.
Already did. I gave him this link. So he will read it.

I sent him a PM to this thread. The 2" OD/2" ID extension worked, it's not stainless, so it's gotta come out before everything is welded, hopefully Ron can get me a stainless extension or something. I don't really want to force it together and weld it, took quite a bit of pressure to get them to just touch.
Having one h*ll of a time getting my Zoomer's tip off the stock pipe I had with the magnaflow. It was welded on and the way the guy welded it, it's giving me problems. I'll continue to work on it tomorrow after work.
For what they charge for that exhaust, everything should fit perfectly imo.

I doubt it's with all the kits or something would have been done by now. Ron is a good guy to deal with, great customer service, if there is a problem, I'm comfortable saying that based on what I have seen on the boards in the past, he will make it right. It's a very nice kit, can't comment on the sound yet and I'm still trying to get the tip off my old exhaust, but it sure looks nice!
Man. I am very suprised to see that. I bought one of the first Zoomer systems and have long since been a Zoomers evangelist. The guys at my exhaust shop said my Zoomers was the best fitting pre-fab system they had installed yet. Hopefully you guys having problems just got a bad batch. Ron, and the folks at Zoomers were easy to deal with. It would be great to hear that your probs were resolved.
I think I may call Ron tomorrow and order one. I will probably use band clamps on the install anyway, so if there is a gap in the Y, the clamp should cover it.
