Consult III - Is this really Coming soon?

I was talking to a Nissan tech and he says a Consult III is due out in a few months. He says that it will have better programming features than the II does. Can anyone confirm this? What are the programming features?

Re: Consult III - Is this really Coming soon?

From what I just read it seems to be releasing in Japan in the 4th quarter 2006. Might be a while longer then...?

Re: Consult III - Is this really Coming soon?

I'm a tech. at a Nissan dealership and they say we are supposed to be getting ours any day now. They are lap tops. We are also a Hyundai dealership and they have the same thing with different programs of course. We got the Hyundai lap top about 4 months ago. It's pretty handy. Can't wait to get the Nissan one and see what it involves. We can still use the Consult II as well.

If its a laptop then at some point I see that software being available, at least underground.

Re: Consult III - Is this really Coming soon?

sigh, i dont know why all car makers cant learn from the germans. vw's software has been out for pc for a long a$$ time now.. can buy the cd-rom and the different types of cable for about 350.. so worth it.

hey TitanTech659, does the consult have an option to change the pinion factor for larger tire sizes? i know the DRB and starscan for chryslers can do that... im just curious if there is any way to get my correct shift points back with my 35" tires

im just curious how the dealers are doing the lifts on the titans and putting 35's on them and then selling them and not having the customers coming back saying "my trans sticks in 3rd gear!!"

Re: Consult III - Is this really Coming soon?

I would think the dealer would have to sell the lifted trucks with actual mileage unknown since they know the speedo and odometer are off.

No, it doesn't have that option. We don't do any lifts on the Titans where I work so I wouldn't know about that.

Re: Consult III - Is this really Coming soon?

According to my service manager at a dealer in middle Tn. 3weeks ago, they should already be here.. Should be easier to do more stuff to our trucks..He told me it would be 1 hour to disable limiter and do 2 degree advance, about 70-80 dollars...

We've been told "That they are on the way." We've been getting that line for a month now. I sure am ready to check this thing out. Wish they would have put it on "rush" order.

Re: Consult III - Is this really Coming soon?

When I went to my dealer a couple of weeks ago the mastertech acted as if they were in use already, as he asked me if another dealership that I had dealt with was using the Consult 3---I did'nt even know they had a Consult 3 at that time !!!
