Sexy RAM Air hood by glass works unlimited comming soon
For those who haven't seen....hood is available, but the intake for the RAM air hood is still being designed.
I think I will do this 4 sure when the intake is all done.

That hood, although attractive, doesn't seem to ram air anywhere....it's a poser hood.

So you think it's not designed to force air? I know one thing the air outside is cooler than the air in the engine compartment

It say's in the ad that it's a "closed scoop".....meaning it has no hole for air to enter.....of course, it could be modified and cut or drilled to open it up....but it still would need some duct work to get the air over to the front left fender...where the air filter box is.

Nice looking hood, but needs to be functional. Although this is still better than those stick on scoops I have been seeing lately

Did you guys miss the part where I said "the intake for the RAM air hood is still being designed"? Which also means the scoop will be open. I've been back and fourth emailing them....It's comming soon! I posted this thread to give us something to look forward to.

Re: Sexy RAM Air hood by glass works unlimited
If all it did was let fresher, colder air into the engine compartment...wouldn't it still be useful (except for those with Volants)? Just wondering...

Re: Sexy RAM Air hood by glass works unlimited
It seems like the air box location would have to be changed. Filter would have to be near the scoop. Plus it would make for a shorter run to the throttle body. Here is something they are doing with a F150 for RAM Air or a hood scoop.

Re: Sexy RAM Air hood by glass works unlimited
That would be pretty sweet. You see the size of that air filter for the ford!!!
I'm sure it will be big bucks!

I agree... I'm getting this if they do make it functionable. For now, it's just a poser hood.
