S&B intake for the titan.

Whats guys. I have been shopping around for a intake for the titan and im down to Volant, AEM or the AFE. But now i came across this one from S&B for a good price. and it looks alot like the volant. I was wondering if anyone has this one or any info on it like the HP gaines. Any info would be great.

Thanks

Re: S&B intake for the titan.

Looks alot like the stillen intake kit. Only problem I see with intakes like that is the volume of air is really low around the filter. Hey CVTITAN I miss the looks of that K&N, but the airaid I ended up with does the job.

Re: S&B intake for the titan.

Volant uses S&B filters and that tube and box is a rebadged Volant. Looks like its just a collaboration swap of parts.

Re: S&B intake for the titan.

Re: S&B intake for the titan.

It looks nothing like the Volant, outside of material and design. The MAF is located in a different spot and is mounted with a metal housing. The S&B doesnt appear to have the three strange bends in the tubing that the Volant has and the airbox is more square.

Maybe you and I are looking at different pictures, but I think the S&B looks fantastic. BTW, I have the Volant.

Re: S&B intake for the titan.

The different angles make it look different.
Slightly different but the SB pictured may not be the titan model either.

Re: S&B intake for the titan.

I havta agree, looks like a rebadge and clear cover vs. aluminum cover... depends if you want to see your filter or not, should perform similar to Volant... "go ahead, try it and let us know how it does... someone's gotta be the ghinea pig..."

Re: S&B intake for the titan.

i tried to call them to see if they had any dyno info but the guy was gone but i will find out monday. but it looks like the volant has the hole on the side with weather stripping around it the the sb just has a square opening at the end. i wonder if that makes a difference. is the only opening on the volant on the side?

It also has a port underneath, covered with a rubber cap, for the ram air option. You can leave it uncovered, but that just allows hot engine air into the box.
