Re: Cold Air Intake which one should I go for?

I've seen mention on some of the threads about some sort of vibration problem with the Volant CAI. What's that about and has it been solved?

Re: Cold Air Intake which one should I go for?

A Very Happy Volant Owner here. There was a slight vibration noise coming from the interior. Which I figured out was coming from inside the driver side seat belt panel. Other then that, no problems.

Re: Cold Air Intake which one should I go for?

I put the Fram Boost on today and it sounds great. Its not too loud and not too quiet. I didnt get to go for a long drive but I will either tonight or tomorrow. Putting it on wasnt too difficult. Thanks for the advice Landman.

Re: Cold Air Intake which one should I go for?

I personally think Injen is the best but that is my opinion. I've used Injen in all my cars and performance and quality is always top notch. AEM is also another good intake system. Pretty much any good quality brand name is going to be good. What you want in quality is the filter. If you buy them cheap intakes from ebay, more then likely, the filter will fall apart from vibrations in about a year of ownership. Spend the money and get a good quality intake system, it's worth the money because it will last almost the lifetime of your vehicle.

Re: Cold Air Intake which one should I go for?

The Dub Air makes a sweet package. We install plenty here at our shop the fit and finish is excellent. The quality in materials used far exceed that of the competition. From the T-bolt stainless clamps, 100% pure nylon reinforced silicone couplers, polished stainless velocity stack, air diverter top with stainless mesh built into the filter is second to none. Where as the competitions plastic filter housings with flat top, aluminum mesh surrounding the filter, rubber couplers and worm gear clamps just don't hold up... Check out Dub... www.dub-air.com and read about the technology which makes Dub one of the best and why we chose to represent them. $379.00 shipped
