She's on DA' Juice and loves it!!

Well I finally finished doing my nitrous setup and managed to drop .5 off my 1/4 mile times by just spraying from 3200rpms to 5200 it's like a rocket it goes thru the gears much faster now and is definatly getting to 100 way faster.. So far sprayed 4 times last night and was very impressed, going to try a 75shot after i put her on the dyno in a week or so, just want to make sure everything is fine A/F wise so I dont damage anything..

Re: She's on DA' Juice and loves it!!

nice man, i do performance on Zs and Gs down here in orlando, just got a 06 titan and about to start messing with it, any reason you put such a little nitrous shot on it, i was running a 150 shot on my stock motor Z for a while..

good luck either way, i pretty much just bought the Titan to tow my Z to events and work out of .....

oh EDIT... i see you have timing advanced, i would take that out before you run a bigger shot, i will talk to some people, i have some connections, about getting a computer kinda like the UTEC we have for the Z, then you could adjust your fuel and timing, plus switch to a couple different maps on the fly for nitrous!!!

Re: She's on DA' Juice and loves it!!

I already took off the timing advance before adding nitrous, i just forgot to change my profile.. Also went with 1 step colder NGK Iridium plugs.. I'm going with a small shot cause anything over 75hp on our trucks has shown no improvement, so the engine must be retarding the timing drasticly to reduce the hp gainsusing a 75 shot or above.. RB's Titan can confirm this as he's be trying bigger shots and not seeing much if any improvement over using a 50 shot.. Although maybe a diffrent kit like i bought with a diffrent angle fogger might yield better results if maybe the placement of the fogger is not at the optimal spot.. this will just take a LOT of testing to confirm where this spray needs to be to properly atomize so nothing is left the intake tube or manifold..
Hopefully my placement is good as I really don't feel like blowing up my intake manifold by having left over N2O.. I plan to go to a 75 shot soon as I can verify that the A/F ratios are safe on the dyno with the wideband reader in my header manifold..

Nice Tomany - glad you got it all hooked up and working. Now get to the track maybe this weekend and we'll run each other...should be fun. Two blizzards gone down the track or up in smoke...heheehee

Re: She's on DA' Juice and loves it!!

I mounted my nozzle little diffrently than yours. I put mine on the inside of the CAI intake tube closest to the motor about 4" infront of the curve, was hoping that it'd give it enough time to atomize properly.. only used a 45 shot last night and i was pretty impressed, even without a bottle warmer you can definatly tell when it sprays, lol the engine rpm's shoot up instantly and puls hard, wish i woulda done this long time ago..

Re: She's on DA' Juice and loves it!!

with this nitrous thing, how can we expect longevity to be affected? how about warranty if we have engine probs? jsut curious, and about how much for a nitrous setup?

Re: She's on DA' Juice and loves it!!

well the shots they are running are so small, i dont think you would ever have any issues unless a solenoid got stuck open. i ran a 100 shot on a G35 sedan and my Z for over two years and race it all the time. then i upped it to 150 shot and was running mid to high 11s on stock motor in my Z. fun times!!

i sell performance parts and have a good NX connection, pm me and i will get you some really good prices on stuff.

hell i have some kits sitting here, i will figure out how to run more than that kiddie shot though!!!!!

nitrous can be installed and removed fairly easy, i would take the whole kit out for any warranty work.

Re: She's on DA' Juice and loves it!!

Yea if you go to the dealership with N2O kit installed you will get black-balled by every dealership in the nation for any warranty work on your engine.. they have a way of logging peoples stuff onto your vin # in thier database and next time you try to get your engine fixed it will state that you once had nitrous on your engine.. I seriously doubt anything under a 100 shot will hurt the titan motor, this thing is built super strong, Menards got a 800 hp motor out of the titan stock block, and crank.. The whole NX setup I bought cost this from Ebay..
NX express import stage 1 EFI (35, 50, and 75 shot) $499.00
NX express bottle warmer $211.00
NX express purge kit $109.00
NX express bottle gauge $35.00
MSD window switch $99.00
MSD tach pickup wire $35.00
NGK Iridium plugs (1 step colder) $75.00
misc. wiring, relays, wire loom $40.00
3 carbon fiber master arm toggle switches $45.00

Re: She's on DA' Juice and loves it!!

Well just as a update Powerflow told me yesterday they are going to send me new B-pipes to get rid of the cats and see if that's why i'm running 15.6's again and if that fixes my problem and i'm able to achieve 15.0's NA i should definatly be able to get a 14.3 with a 75 shot at the track i assume.. but also the DNA muffler could be the culprit as my loss of power, so i might end up buying yet another banks muffler even though i know it's going to blow up due to the running no cat issue.. but i think the baffles in the dna muffler could be causing me turbulence issues which is probably why my truck is doing wacky things, either way new header b-pipes are enroute to me at no charge thanks to Chris @ Powerflow ( I promise not to butcher these chris!)

Re: She's on DA' Juice and loves it!!

100 shot was stock everything computer wise, then i add a piggyback, retarded the timing a bit and bumped up the shot with no issues

why doesnt anyone make a true dual exhaust for these trucks, i will be working on this soon as well...

those NX prices up there are average, ebay always has the lowest, my cost on the kit is 400, bottle warmer is 160 etc. so with shipping and stuff, not bad.

Pics will be tommrow finally got in my bottle warmer today so instead I'll be spraying N20 at 1050psi instead of the measly 750-800 it's pushing now, hopefully will be lot more hp going to the motor..
