2-deg timing advance help

I went to the dealer today to see if they would do the 2 deg timing advance and of course they had never heard of it. He said he wouldn't do it either because of the chance of it damaging my truck and voiding my warranty. Can any of you guys give me a print out of something I could take down to them or someone else to do it for me. What kind of equipment do they need to do this? Is it really worth the battle?

Thanks!

Try another dealer, there's nothing to print.

Re: 2-deg timing advance help

Great, not another decent size dealer for probably 400 miles.

can't see anything voiding warranty but it's up to the dealer. See if you can make a friend there, like a mechanic or writer.. somebody?

There could also be someone that lives in your area that as a ODBII or something like that.

Smile Re: 2-deg timing advance help

The specific "something like that" you need to find is the Uprev Cipher software/cable or the new Autoenginuity. Either package will do the advance. Nothing to worry about with this change. Many dealers just dont know.

Where do you live? Maybe another Titaneer is in your area. You can buy the items above if you're into that type of thing, they run about 400 and 250 respectively.

UPDATE: Hey, I just checked your public profile, love your Mods, you've got my rims! How do you like those tires. Are they LT rated or P rated?
