Awe crap I'm not going to bait you any longer Matt I did some testing and one other guy did some as well. The unit did not perform well. This was sometime ago. Do a search on Unichip installed that I started and one by kuntau.
I will have a free one to test out around Christmas. I'll post the results as soon as I have them. The PDA version is released.

They have a mail order reflash and the 2004 is no problem as it's the year they learned first.
The low end is MUCH better and there are several here in the community running them. Get the map switching package as that way you can get the Performance, Stock and Valet maps. The Valet map is a secondary security device that locks the rpms and speed so that they can't get far very fast if it was to be stolen or borrowed by the parking guy in Ferris Buelers Day Off.
As with any ECU chip or programmer to get the absolute BEST performance one needs to get a custom tune on a dyno and polished on the street. But it does not mean that you can get improved performance from a Mail in.
Stillen will have one program fits all as well as the others. I like the features of the Uprev for longevity of product updates, performance tuning and added security.

That's only if you get the "Flux" system. The original Unichip come with a pretune MAP. THe Flux sysytem is not cheap, I've seen it for about a grand and that does not include the software needed to run it from your PDA/PC.

oh the truck nutz...they have been on there for so long I couldn't remove them...besides I welded the wire to my hitch pin so they wouldn't get stolen...I would hate to be out 16 bucks
